Intra workout Carbs

I had a buddy suggest adding OJ and whey as an intra workout shake. The idea grossed me out but after trying it for a couple weeks I can honestly say my pumps have been better and muscle fullness lasts longer. It tastes like a bag of ass, but that is cuz I am too cheap to buy vanilla whey. I would rather spend my $ on other things....

One of my training buddies always sneaks away to his locker for a couple glazed doughnuts too. I can't talk shit either because he is jacked.

Does anybody else have a go-to for intra workout?

Poptars, cliff bars, jerky sticks.. I always keep snacks in my gym bag cuz i eat like 30 minutes before I get to the gym then i do about 30-45 minutes of mobility and warmups so by the time im an hour into my workout its been 2 hours since i ate and i still have 1-1.5 hours left in the workout so gotta have sustenance haha

On leg days I'll sometimes use whey, dextrose and carbo gainer. With water.

Started cracking at it tasting like a bag of ass. Don't have any casual conversations with anyone. If it tastes like a bag of ass your breath most likely will smell like it as well. Lol. Just jk.

48oz mix of G2, Reg Gatorade, Emergen-C, Great Value Cherry Lemonade w/ Caffeine squeeze/drop thing, and water I drink during. I've never tried any food.

Karbolyn - best stuff there is.

I used to kill a sleeve of rice cakes while working out but I am kinda a germaphobe and touching all the gym equipment then sucking on my fingers didn't work for me.

I like the idea of emergen-c though. Never thought of that.

I briefly experimented with intra workout nutrition mainly because I was using insulin pre workout, but personally I think it's extra work on my body to consume cals during the lift. I perfected my pre and post workout nutrition around my insulin and haven't gone back to intra workout consumption. Something light like a Gatorade or something maybe, but no protein anymore during the training. But that's just me

Been taking Recovery Factor by Granite Supplements. It's def primo stuff and the price reflects it. But I can really tell a difference when I don't drink it as far as endurance and focus is concerned.
Picked this up the other week. Definitely on par with karbolyn. Less carbs but more goodies. Torn between the two.

Just looked it up. They didn't skimp on the goodies that is for sure. Most of the drinks add in less than a gram of any amino, but they stacked up some good numbers!

I'll have to give this a shot sometime, thanks for recommendation! [emoji106][emoji106]

Looking to try this when I add intra carbs back. JM's true nutrition intra-MD is a good one too and less expensive per serving than his new Granite supplement line.
