When I was coming up there was little gear around and nobody would talk about anything to you unless you earned ur way to gaining respectable size. If someone who was big gave you sone advice you took it as the gospel and didnt sit there questioning them. If they wanted to work in with you you let them, you didn't sit there on your phone and tell them "I have 6 more sets." If someone at the gym had beef you settled it outside, and it often wasn't pretty. So why are guys on all this gear and can't gain size? Well, it's because they never earned their way in and put in actual work, when the going got tough they bitched out. I miss the days of the old gyms and earning your way into the Underground. guys respected each other because they knew that that other guy was going through hell to make gains. They respected hard work, they wanted to see their gym buddies make progress. This is one aspect of powerlifting and strongman I respect, it never left those circles. But bodybuilding? Shit man...those days are long gone. I sure do miss em
