Water??

just wanted to see peoples views I no it sounds silly but of course I drink water but it's normally only when I train etc rest of the time I'm drinking fizzy pop tbh but you see people saying they drink 3/4/5 litres of it a day what does drinking that amount actually do? Apart from keeping water retention down? Does fizzy drink count as having some amount of water or is it something completely different like ingredients wise thanks folks any study's etc about muscle growth or what not is what I'm basically looking for.
 
Gallon of water which is like 8 water bottles (I have a 17oz green bottle), as I sweat a lot when it's hot in the gym.
 
im a 1 gal 1/2 everyday.im pissing all day to.i reduce water intake 2 hrs befor bed so im not wakeing up in multiple times to piss
 
I'm never less than a gallon and a half a day. Typically right around 200oz which I think is like 6-7l

I also stop water intake for the most part around 5pm, aside from 1l with my intra shake at night. Just to keep from peeing all night.

Water is necessary for overall health of many many systems in your body. Just make sure your electrolyte balance stays right.

Nuun is a great product to add to water. Gives you the sodium magnesium and potassium you need to keep proper hydration.
 
High water intake is important- to keep flushing the kidneys.... bodybuilding we tend to consume a lot of protein:) and protein has to be broke down and filtered by the kidneys...



Of course there are numerous other things the kidneys have to filter on a daily basis.
(Aas,vitamins,sodium,blood,yada yada)

Renal failure is one of the most common cases in the hospital, people are loosing kidneys every day.... That is why at a minimum 1 gallon of water a day... or get ready to cut your kidney out and put it in a jar:)
 
I do about 1.5 gallons not counting what i drink in shakes/preworkout mix or what i drink at the gym, so probably closer to 2. Its supposed to be healthy or something, plus im just thirsty all the time. What do you mean by "fizzy pop"? Like soda? Or just like carbonated water? I drink a ton of sparkling water and as far as I've read its the same thing just with carbonation. It does ave extra air in it, so one concern was just basic stomache discomfort, increased burping and or flatulence. Other than that though its harmless

Ahh yeah well..im no doctor but i wpuld imagine the water you get from that isnt worth the sugar you get from it haha
Hahaha yer no that now Have cut down the soda a ton and upped the water seams to be working great muscles are a lot fuller now etc but still very vascular so win win lol.
