Quick question regarding eating chicken

Hi there, just got blood work done and saw that my HDL and LDL levels are not in a good range and mainly my diet has been eating whole grilled, chicken and veg(brocolli, spinich) , egg white and protein shakes etc.

So i'm guessing my LDL level is high because of the chicken? In other words, does chicken contain high saturated fats? if yes, than i'll have to modify my diet..i was under the impression that chicken was a healthy choice

3oz of skinless grilled chicken breast has about 70-80 mg of cholesterol.
Depends on how much you eat really.
I'm not a doctor. But psyllium husk fiber supplements are awesome additions to anyone's nutrition. I think they get a bad rap for being referred to as the old person stuff...m but it will lower cholesterol and blood sugar.
Maybe swap some chicken for fish too?? I've read studies saying that it helps, but I've also read some that say fish oil RAISES ldl.... unfortunately a lot of this is trial and error. But a safe bet would be psyllium husk fiber powder.

With chicken you can't go wrong with the protein and a reasonable amount of fats. Pair it with wild rice and fibrous veggies you got a winner.

been eating whole chicken for the past 2 months or more but i sometimes do eat it with the skin too to hit my calorie goals ... And that is the only meat i took beside my vegs and protein powder.. Now blood test (posted ) shows high level of LDL.. this has got me worried now and i think i must add in or substitute chicken with more fish...

And also increase cardio

Fish you certainly add in.
 
It's been proven that dietary cholesterol has no effect on blood levels of cholesterol. Cholesterol levels are largely genetic. have you used any gear/ probormones In the past? It tends to mess with Cholesterol quite a bit. They raise lol and lower hdl. Especially orals.

I see, no i have not used gear before... I've been strict with my diet. No carbs in my diet as well. Almost everyday it has been chicken(with skin), some vegs , protein shakes. And i can't seem to find much online about how cholesterol a whole chicken(without bone) has... But i'm guessing it has got to be high..

Like I said... 70-80 mg cholesterol per 3oz
 
Did you fast for At least 12 hours before the blood draw?? That will certainly make a difference.

Before you go for a test that involves cholesterol you should be fasting at least 12 hours prior to the blood draw. The best time would be to start the fast at 8PM and then go for the draw at 8AM, as that schedule works for me without inconvenience as I would be sleeping most of that time anyhow.
 
If it wasn't the fasting probably genetic. I have shit genetics for cholesterol as well. The FDA actually lifted their guidelines in dietary cholesterol because they found it has little to no effect on blood levels of cholester. To get the fda to lift a guidline I would imagine they have some pretty solid proof.
