The bottom line is there is more callories going in than there is going out. I don't have time to weight train effintiently enough at the moment so I'm not burning all the callories from all that protein.
It will be a lot easier for me to cut than to bulk at the moment.
How much do you weigh? I'm guessing you are too low on calories.
You are already cutting, you are not bulking.
Weight training is the only way you can preserve muscle, and the best way of burning fat. If you stop weight training your results will be even worse. You should probably increase calories and check if your weight training is adequate (very important).
"not burning all the callories from all that protein"??? You don't burn protein, you said you were burning your muscle. Protein is not efficiently stored as fat, protein helps burning calories through thermogenesis, and according to your results you're burning too much of it. Protein and omega3 fats can't make you fat.
Instead of doing the opposite you should try following the advice you've been given.
