Tgis makes me really angry.
You go visit family and they all gather together eat like crap, drink way to much and are all fat. But, the muthafucker that brings his own snacks and food because he is a fat shit is the one thats crazy. No I don't want casserole, or sour cream dip and chips. Then they say you always eat clean you can have some cake and soda.
I get mad and say "wtf if i was a recovering coke addict would you go out and buy coke and say here just one time you have had any in a while" then they say its im just to invested in my diet. So i say its "a regimen " diets are temporary thats why they fail.
Im just pissed that they always got something to say. What if i walked in and said "hey fat bitch nice back tits" have a cinnamon roll. Id be wrong wouldn't I. Fucming people don't know what it takes to be fit and stay that way. You must consistently improve physically or yoy will loose it all.

@Docd187123 Nothing, it's the sort of subtle judgment that comes with it. He just wants to do his thing and keep his priorities in order and for that particular visit it means, you know, seeing everyone but still keeping his diet. And some people don't 'accept' that, there have to be comments about how you should relax, you're "obsessed" and a million other things and ultimately it becomes sort of a "I don't care about diet, and the fact that you do doesn't sit right" with some people. Not necessarily to that extent, but I'm sure you guys have seen the same... your passive decision to make a healthy choice leaves people feeling defensive about their own choices.

Funny enough, now that I think about it you'll see a similar thing with (quiet) vegetarians. I've a buddy that doesn't eat meat and that's his business, but if that ever comes up at a party he has to deal with a million "well what about fish?" "I could never give up bacon, don't you miss it?" and "haha every vegetarian just *has* to let everyone know about it, don't you" when in reality he's just doing his thing. But people now feel the need to "defend" not being vegetarian instead of just, you know, minding their own damn business.

I guess what I'm getting at is, yes I brought canned tuna on vacation, yes I will sock you in the mouth if you make at least 3 jokes about it. Two are fair game

I live this crap every day with my girl, as well as family and friends. "You've lost plenty of weight and are healthy, you're allowed to cheat." It pisses me off to. I also quit smoking, but she goes ballistic if I bum a smoke off someone. To me it's all the same, and neither cheat is good.

Understood but I see subtle judgement coming from every side really. Vegans, vegetarians, Paleo, zone diet, etc etc.

I blame crossfit and Paleo........
I literally listened to a 30 min rant about how this woman was fat bc she had an undiagnosed gluten allergy, she self-diagnosed after she bought some book "Wheatbelly" after hearing about it on Oprah/Dr. Phil or some shit. She went to her PCP and told them what she had found and the Dr. confirmed her "fears". Then she proceeded to pull out her gluten-free beer and a wash down half a pack of Oreos (Oreos are gluten free she was sure to inform me o_O)

That just means more gluten for you and I :D

Hey OP. I love it. Stick to your guns. Eating healthy is a lifestyle and NOT some BS fad diet. I rarely slip up and people think I'm crazy. The proof is right here in front of us. The fatties are always making "exceptions" and eating unhealthy "from time to time".

Man, I'm going through the same thing... Not to take away from my own lack of discipline in previous years, but I can attribute many of my fitness-attempt failures to this same thing.

it's gotten better now. My wife tells me how proud she is and how good I'm looking.... I think it tones down when you start to really show your progress and they see how serious you are.

Semi off topic... Fuck vegans and vegetarians who try guilt tripping people into their fucking cult.
