Beef protein

Gritty doesn't bother my but too salty would. I'm already a saltaholic and have done a damn good job cutting way back in the last year.

That post made me wonder about it for sure, but I think consuming beef byproduct is the least of my worries after some of the shit bag sources I've used.

Not if you order from TRuenutrition.

"a potent(?) protein powder made from extracted beef aminos* " lmfao. "although this material , has a digestion rate that is slightly slower than whey, the amino acid profile speaks for itself". yes it does.
this is truenutrition "beef" protein isolate.

this is gelatin.

amino acid / true nutrition / gelatin ...in %

alanine--- 8.8 ------8.9
arginine--- 7.3 ------7.8
aspartic acid--- 6.2 ------6.0
cysteine--- 0.5 ------ ****
glutamic acid--- 11.3------ 10.0
glycine--- 20.1------ 21.4

not to mention the fact that gram for gram of protein its actually cheaper that buying real beef. how do they do it ?!
again, collagen/gelatin is not a worthless supplement. want to know why? look it up. maybe ill post it.

I like jell-o :).

I ordered 5lbs, 40%beef, 40%egg white, 20% cold filtered whey. Keep you all posted with a review after a month
Keep us all up to date on it. I'm just a little hesitant right now. I'm not a big shake drinker anyway but I wanna try something if it works. Has anyone tried just a an egg and whey mix.

Just played with the recipe today and ordered 40% Hydrolyzed Whey SUPER grade, 30% Beef and 30% Egg white. Hoping the whey helps it digest quicker. I need to be hungry every 2 hours and don't need a shake sitting in my stomach.

I was going to ask if it really matters? Two of our members are vouching for changes to their bodies after
To be clear I ordered true nutrition but it hasn't shown up yet... I have been using carnivor beef protein from vitamin shoppe- I think they sponsor Kai greene. It doesn't say beef bi products on it that I see.

Well fair enough but my point was more does it matter if it's collagen or meat? If people are seeing results then, I at least don't care.

Well I did some research and ended up on youtube. After watching 3 videos from guys I respect, it seems that whey is better. Yes, if it was true beef protein it would be the best out there, but its made from the parts of the cows that they would usually throw away. Is it a good protein?...YES
Is it as good as a whey iso?...Probably not according to a few guys that know their shit.

I have read some studies from universities that do testing on protein powders and they debunk almost all of them, but one that stands true to their label is True Nutrition. So I do trust them. That doesn't mean that they are using 100% beef though. It could very well be that they use the same as all the other companies.

Whatever I try to change up my powders all the time and my 50/50 mixed worked AWESOME for me. Was it the egg white powder that did 75% of the work, because its 100% bio? Who knows

I have a blend coming from true nutrition at odie's recommendation. I did 40% beef, 40% top grade pre digested cold filtered whey (said to be more bio available with more naturally occurring aminos) 10% sweet potato and 10% carb blend of low and high glycemic index carbs.

I have been using carnivor beef protein from vitamin shoppe... tastes pretty shitty but I can see a difference in muscle "quality" (appearance? Density?) When I mix protein sources. I use the beef, egg, whey blends all at different times of the day. I will report back on the blend. Excited to take it- got 5lbs for $90 including shipping.
Brutus79 how long have you been using carnivor been thinking about picking some up

I got a tub of carnivore and I really liked it, also got a custom blend from true nutrition. Went with 40% beef. 40% egg white, 20% cold filtered whey. So far my only comment is its really salty. Next time I'd cut way back on the egg white protein. I'm my current batch the label says 306mg sodium/scoop and I use two scoops. That's a shit load of sodium in a shake.

I always suggested to TN to try and lower the sodium of their beef and egg white protein. Glad I am not the only one who feels that way. Hopefully they decide to do something about it sooner rather than later.
