al Qaeda hated Saddam Hussein. I don't remember but wasn't it our CIA and SF that provided the Afghanistan's with RPGs when they were fighting the Russians? Started knocking out all their helicopter gunships. What is ironic is that we owned the sky's over Vietnam up till about 68? or 69? The Russians started supplying the NVA with RPGs and they started bringing down our helicopter's and foreward observation aircraft. Even a few or more fast movers, It got so bad that were many places we wouldn't fly over anymore.
