I’ve only managed to watch England vs Iran so far due to work / life commitments, & unfortunately I’m not sure if I’ll be able to see much more than the England matches during the Group stage.

Saudi was something like +2500 underdogs. Argentina is a perennial powerhouse and expected to compete for the Cup, not lose to a scrub team like Saudi.

Regardless of how it goes, it’s heartwarming to finally see Americans taking an interest in the World Cup over the last few years. I remember USA ‘94 & seeing British TV asking Americans on the streets if they knew what the World Cup was: vast majority had no idea, despite the US hosting it & it being the biggest sporting event in the world!

I have always supported two teams, Holland and Argentina, but in general I am for beautiful football.
