I pity the fool that has to do this for cardio training![:o)]

I have been trapped on the fluid trainer with my new bike for 2 hrs a night...

just getting my spin back on after a hiatus....

Truthfully... my BP has skyrocketed that i akin to running Tren the last cycle....
Never had issues in previous cycles... it seems the game changes at 40 brothers!

i started a short cycle with test p and var. The legs are cranking and another week or so... i should feel like i haven't been off the bike!

cheers to the rest of you guys in shit climates that have to train in doors!

Nice set-up!! I finally stopped being lazy and put my bike on the trainer yesterday....and then it went to 55 degrees and I could have rode outside for the first time in months. Murphy's Law I guess.

i hear you brother...

if the temps topple 45f and the wind is less than 20mph... i will take the great outdoors any day!

spinin' the fluid trainer with no air flow does make for sweating buckets. which is a positive in the winter dog days.

if i keep it up... I might be able to get some of those sexy legs like Millard!! ;)

HAHA. Millard must have to pack on the chamois paste or his skin would be peeling off from the friction [:o)]

Ha! You come out here to Cali and train , 60deg not a cloud in the sky , I put in 11 miles 2300 ft of climbing and 2300 of descending yesterday , but I'm on a mtb ! Nothing worse than a new bike that you can't ride , I feel for you bro !

Digz,

i would love to move back out to Cali or the west coast.

unfortunately, my businesses are on the opposite side of the country... and the way my family makes a living.

hopefully, retirement will be here soon. I will set up in Marin County and enjoy the fruits of my labor.

agreed, the terrain and the weather Rox; not too mention the waves!. Back soon!!

My bro rides for Mikes Bikes in SanFran... so i get some good ribbing from him!

I can't believe what I'm hearing. Too cold to train outdoors, you say? Nonsense! Where there's a will, there's a way.
You ladies need to butch up. ;)

P.S. Beezil, that seat looks PAINFUL! How can you sit on that for miles and miles? My prostate hurts just looking at it.

Believe it or not, for longer and harder rides, a real stiff small saddle is more comfortable then a soft gel seat.

its been 16deg without wind in my parts lately... just hit the high 40s yesterday and today... so i got to hit the roads!!

i guess my perineum has adjusted to sitting on a toothpick.

all for shaving ounces...

i will leave the donner and continental pass for the hardcore cyclists! i am not one of em.:)

if your bored... look up John Stamstad... elite ultra athlete that frequents the Iditarod trail... i believe its called Iditasport Race (ultra marathon)...
this kicker with John is... most of his races are unsupported! the guy is a machine!

I here only guys on the sauce train in 16deg weather , J/k , I'm down to ride in any weather , I just get tired of the clean up , so today I was going to stay home and watch the niner game , then I went outside to feed the dogs , it didn't take long to say fuck that I'm going for a ride , it's 65 degrees , and clear skies , so I did 7 miles 1900 ft of climbing and 3 pr's on strava , on the DH of course , I railed every berm and smashed every rock garden , it felt great !

John is in a class by himself...

I raced against him at the 24hrs of Canaan Valley in WV.

I rode on a 4 man team... he rode it SOLO.

I had heard at hour 6 or so he broke his wrist... and duck taped his hand to the handle bar to complete the race.

Not sure if that was fact or fiction...

mind!

with a powerful mind anything is possible...

with a powerful body... and a weak mind.... the simplest stumbling block will have you back stepping; or worse yet... quitting!

Luckily I'm on the west coast so I can ride all year long outdoors. However after eating shit a few too many times on skinny road tires on wet roads I just bought a cyclocross bike that has some nubs on the tires. Was time to upgrade to carbon fiber anyways!

I don't know bout you cyclocross guys ? Yes carbon , yes knobby tires , but in 26x2.4 tubeless !
