Guys, I got this boat with everything already hooked up, I can just click in the Garmin and hook the wires up to the back of the thing, all that as well as the sensor/camera is installed and ready to go. I’m assuming I just need to hook the black and red wire up to the marine battery to get power to the Garmin? I’m guessing the other wires are for a console or something I don’t need them for, this is just a tiller boat. Anyone familiar with depth/fish finders? Maybe just alligator clips or something and hook the red and black wire to the battery? Thanks in advance

I would expect there to be another connection point nearby where you mount the unit - otherwise it'll be powered all the time and drain your battery. If you're going to unhook it every time then yeah, hooking up to battery should work if the voltage is correct

Got it, the other wires are for accessory switch/console hookups etc. it works fine now, justly never used one that’s all

Red is power, black is ground, brown and blue are for data in and out(respectively) for compatible devices.
