Where to start?

Hey guys, im just lookin for some general advice as to where to start...I was a college athlete up until last year, so I've been training for years, but since the end of my career ive gotten lazy and havent been working out...Thus ive gained about 25-30 lbs and want to lose this weight...Stats are 6'3 bout 255-260 lbs now (not sure on bf%)...I felt the best in my career at about 220-230, and would like to get back down there...The problem is, im naturally a "thick" person, my whole family were athletes and i've just never been able to get lean...I know the best way to lose fat is simply good diet and cardio/training, but even when i was in the gym everyday, i cant seem to get cut...Any tips, as to what kind of diet i should try to lose this extra fat ive gained, training routine, supplements (both legal or AAS)? I just dont know where to start when it comes to AAS especially, if anyone has any tips that have worked for them, i'd greatly appreciate it...

Sounds like you are a natural athlete, so you should probably stay away from the AAS for now. Obviously, you know that you need to supplement with protein, so that is a no brainer. The key is to keep up with your calorie intake, and burn more than you consume, staying away from bad carbs and sugar. Really, there is no magic science to cutting fat, it is just eating less and getting in some cardio to increase your caloric output.

Thanks for the input...but yea thats what i figured...Do you reccommend any type of diet? Ive been doing the low carb thing, but its just hard to stick to because im constantly traveling and dont have a lot of time to make meals according to this diet...Also, I have this stuff called Nocturnal that I got from a friend and didnt know if anyone has tried anything like it before...Its a powder that you take before bed and its supposed to help with muscle growth throughout the night while you sleep...Ive never taken anything like this, but it sounds like a protien, but theres no protien in it lol...I dunno, but im gonna try it out, let me know if youve heard or triend anything of the sort...thanks
