"In 1948 Israel declared its "independence," but chose not to name its borders (Israel may be the only nation in the world with undeclared borders). Following its founding war of 1947-49 Israel came into existence on 78 percent of Palestine, a percentage it has steadily increased in subsequent years, a process that continues today."

I googled "Palestine map" the other day just to see if it had shrunk... but it seems to have disappeared from the middle east.... Well, thats one way to solve a problem..... Out of sight out .....:)

A little known fact. Palestinians and other Arabic communities help Hitler try and exterminate the Jews. The battle for that land between Palestinians and Jews have been going on for thousands of years. Jews are/were not taking over that land. It was given "back" to them by the league of nations. The more the Palestinians shoot their missiles at the Jews the more the Jews push them back for their own safety.

Why hasn't the League of Nations given back US owned territory to the Native Americans?

Why would they? The native Americans have plenty of land here in the US and aren't under military attack like the Jews are.

There are so many everywhere
Extremists in the middle East taught to hate and kill the Jews in Israel. They are constantly under attack. Of course they are going to push back

Nothing personal, but you my friend are totally ignorant of history!

I would be glad to, and I'm sure CBS will chime in on this also. But not right now. I can only do one thing at a time and I've got my mind full trying to get a job out before bid date.

The League of Nations had no right to do what it did. Whole scenario was (is) ridiculous!

Stupid place to put a nation if your aim is peace... So I must assume it was not.

Yeah, but that doesn't rhyme!
Here is the complete 1492 poem:

IN 1492

In fourteen hundred ninety-two
Columbus sailed the ocean blue.

He had three ships and left from Spain;
He sailed through sunshine, wind and rain.

He sailed by night; he sailed by day;
He used the stars to find his way.

A compass also helped him know
How to find the way to go.

Ninety sailors were on board;
Some men worked while others snored.

Then the workers went to sleep;
And others watched the ocean deep.

Day after day they looked for land;
They dreamed of trees and rocks and sand.

October 12 their dream came true,
You never saw a happier crew!

"Indians! Indians!" Columbus cried;
His heart was filled with joyful pride.

But "India" the land was not;
It was the Bahamas, and it was hot.

The Arakawa natives were very nice;
They gave the sailors food and spice.

Columbus sailed on to find some gold
To bring back home, as he'd been told.

He made the trip again and again,
Trading gold to bring to Spain.

The first American? No, not quite.
But Columbus was brave, and he was bright.:D

School me. What did I say that was incorrect?

Don't want to too deep into this but first of all you need to understand what it is your talking about. You might want to research the events that occurred during WW1. And look up and read the history of the "Balfour Agreement" for a start. And research the Stern, Irgun and Lehi gangs.

The Early History of Palestine (Before World War I)
The origin of some of the earliest known civilizations is traced back in the Middle East where the land of Palestine comprised of a human habitation existing even before the biblical times. With the name of Palestine so prominent in the news, it is important that we know where its roots lies.

Where did the name Palestine come from?

The land area of Palestine refers to the region which lies between the Syrian interior and southern Mediterranean coastal plains. The word Palestine is the derivation of “Plesheth”, which meant migratory or rolling. “The land of Palestine” was inhabited by a warrior tribe for most of the population while there were also Hebrews living there. But in the Old Testament, the land is not called Palestine but Canaan.

So the exceptions to returning stolen land and excusing the massacres that took place are that you must be under current attack and given "enough" of your stolen land back?

So the answer to native American restitution is every non native American up and exiting the US?

One small difference between the situation in the US and in Israel is the Palestinians just want all Jews dead.
