For cutting, what type of flax is best for adding saturated fats to your diet when reducing carbs? Any particular brands better than others? thanks a lot

Flax oil doesnt have much, if any, saturated fat.

As for brands, Barleans is a good brand thats available all over.

I would go with an "essential fatty acid" supplement so you get a balance of all the EFA's (from grains and fish). I believe most all brands are going to offer similar profiles.
BTW, most everyone needs to supplement these into thier diet, as processing, heat, and oxygen exposure degrades much of what is found in produce.

I like Udo's Choice Oil Blend (Flax, Safflower), etc. One of the best out there along with Barleans. A blend is much better than straight flax.

I agree...Udo's is what I use as well. I've listened to Udo's lessons on fat on CD and he seems to know a lot about them. I have also heard good things about Barlean's, although Udo is a blend and Barlean's is simply flax oil. I guess I am partial to the blend.

Both can be bought at www.wildoats.com (look for a store near you)., or many other supplement stores.
