I saw it on the CBS world news and read about them on foxnews today at work... from everything I've read it seems to be on the up and up Bob.. (Even The republican's source for news isn't disputing it's legitimacy... http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,131828,00.html

btw... Who is cnsnews? Never heard of em

phreezer... If the united states is not safer today then why havn't we had one suicide bombing or car bombing in down town new york that would cause total chaos? Don't you think that there are things going on behind the scene's that the goverment is doing that we don't know about and that is why we are safer ? Think about it bro have a good night.

Phreezer, I believe the reports of fake documents are now being broadcast on some of the major media sources. There are some strong questions about those documents that dont add up.

New poll numbers from ABC/Washington Post...

Lol.. If you read the original post.. the person stated that the world is a safer place now.. It's not.. That's been proven.. Since our invasion of Iraq and Afghan world wide terrorist attacks are higher than ever... That's what I said.. If you're going to call me on something.. atleast call me on what I said.

Now to address your statement.... Other then Sep 11th... When have their ever been suicide bombings or car bombings that were perpetrated by a foreigner on U.S. soil? Here's the answer in case you don't know... Never...

So you can't use that statistic to say that the U.S. is safer. Because their have only been two foreign attacks on our soil.. One was by the Japanesse and the other was by Alquada.... (don't get me wrong, I hate those Al quada fuckers as much as the next guy, and I supported/support our efforts in Afghan).

You asked me if I feel safer...well, the answer is no, not really at all. Look at the big picture, we live in a country that is controlled not by the Dems or Repubs.. but rather by the Media. They influence everything, right or wrong. Right wing Media tells us that if we don't support the Iraq war, then we don't support America. Left wing media tells us that if we aren't picketing the war, then we don't care about America. The media will decide this election..Not the candidates. We live in a world that hates us as a country, a world that is extremely jealous of what we have, we live in a world that hates our relegious freedom...We live in a world that just despises the United states for what it has. This is nothing new my man..... This kind of hate comes along with being the Greatest nation in the world!! But it comes too from our pompous arogant attitude around the world, and our selective "moral interventions" throughout the world ... (This is a seperate rant from my point)

back to my point.. No we are not safer as a country, and honestly, Duct Tape, plastic wrap and a color coded terror chart that is always elevated does nothing to win my confidence and make me feel safer... And to get even more back on track.. Homeland Security is not the only issue on the table here, we all need to look at employment, economy, defecit, The war, the troops that are overseas, and the environment. These factors should be considered as a whole. I can't and won't pick one issue and base that as reason alone to place my vote.

I don't expect to influence anyone. I don't expect to make people stop and think. It's funny that we as a group (americans, not weightlifters) are very stubborn and once our minds are made up, nothing right or wrong will deter us. Perhaps it's Pride. I don't know.

Truly, I'm not looking to get into an internet war or a fight with anyone. Like I said in my last post. I wasn't interested in arguing. I answered this because I was called out. That is the only reason.

So take care everyone, and God bless!

Nope...Nope... Timothy Mcvee bombed the OKC Fed building and he and his American based Militant group sighted the ATF's events at Waco for the reason.. It had nothing to do with Muslim relegion.... Or any other relegion for that matter.

The first WTC bombing was planed and executed by Seven Men... All american (All, New Jersey Residents) I do believe that a few of them were Arabic, and it has long been suspected that there was Islamic influence, but nothing that has ever been proven.

My apologies Guys... I was wrong. The first WTC was perpetrated and master minded by a foreign born man "Ramzi Ahmed Yousef"

I must correct my original statement.. THere have been 3 attacks by foreigners on our soil. Pearl harbor, WTC (93), WTC (01)

Phreezer, I understand your points about not feeling safer. In some sense I have the same ideas. I dont feel any safer when I fly. I think most airport security is a joke (along with the people working there) and that its mostly fluff to make people think the TSA is doing a great job. IMO, they are the same bunch of incompetent f*ckheads that were working at the airports 5 years ago! All that baggage check, metal detector walk-throughs, and pat-downs do to me is annoy the hell out of me every single time I travel. Not racially profiling in that situation also pisses me off to no end.

Do I feel safer? No. But not because of anything that the govt hasnt put in place. I dont feel safer because I never felt like I live in a place that would be a target. I could be wrong, but thats the way I view it. I live in the middle of nowhere with no real big buildings, no nuclear power plants, no major industry. Maybe if I lived in NYC or Chicago or next door to a nuclear power plant in Connecticut would I think differently.

And even though weve "only" had 3 major attacks on US soil that we can think of, that doesnt negate all of the attacks against Americans around the world. The embassy bombings in Africa, hostages taken in Iran, the USS Cole and the list goes on.

I am all for racial/ethnic profiling....and I'm not ashamed to admit it.

Last year, I was flying to Houston with my g/f. I was wearing a pair of zip up Abercrombie warm ups that had metal zippers. When I went thru the medal detector, they stopped BOTH me and my g/f and searched us. They opened up our carry on bags, made us take our shoes off, and then ran the wand over us.

They realized it was my zippers and let me go on my way. This did not offend me at all....I set the alarm off and they did their job.

At this point, I don't think we can afford to be politically correct on this matter...we have to do whatever we have to do.

This guy has too many flaws for the american public as a whole to vote for him. I truly believe that may truly distrust Bush but overall feel he is better than Kerry. Better for this country reletatively speaking ofcourse. Kerry seems to just talk at you and not to you. He doesn't seem to really connect with anyone. Every time I hear him speak I feel like I am listening to a history professor or a Pharmaceutical researcher speaking at a medical convention. I don't know if this guy can make it up with less than two months to go now.
