I don't think it will effect fat lose

It's not fat you have to worry about. It's that f'n sugar. Most artificial sweetners aren't too swell on the body. Calories are what you have to look at. I mean, it's just something else to have to add up. Why not drink water and only worry about food calories (including protein shakes). Those calories can go to some other food source you may need to consume for your specific needs. Diet sodas don't feed your body with anything...especially valubale nutrients.

peace.

brat, i drink diet soda (in moderation) as well to curve cravings. I also drink lots of crystal light and kool aid with some splenda mixed in. Very low in calories and (like 5) and tastes amazing.

Uhhhhhhhhh, like, dude, diet soda doesn't have any calories at all.

Like i said,it won't have an effect on fat lose or gain. If you ask about health then that's another issue. Some people like the carbonation and the taste of diet coke. I say COKE because it's better than Pepsi. I like to drink a half a can of diet coke every now and then but 20oz/day i wouldn't

HMM, diet root beer, I never thought of that. It probably has enough flavor to kind of hide that bitter diet taste.

Showing off my colonial brit roots here, but I like diet tonic water with a shot of angostura bitters in it.... almost as good as a real gin and tonic

Check out Diet Rite sodas if you dont like the taste of artificial sweeteners. They use Splenda rather than aspartame or saccharin.

why not just drink water? well i would think everyone is trying to look for a calorie free way to spruce up their taste buds once in a while.

I like diet pepsi. It is an addiction for me...lol

i'm not too into the diet sodas but oh well, the point is that if there's a calorie free way to have something with a TASTE, then why not do it? btw, if i do go with diet soda, it's usually diet sprite or diet dr. pepper. Otherwise it's just water and the occasional crystal light.

The carbonation will slow down protein uptake.

That's why I avoid sodas.

Try Lipton Diet Teas. I'm from the south and Iced Tea is a big deal here. If you get the regular, I think it has more calories and sugar than Coke. But the diets are calorie free, and you get the antioxidants from the tea.

I try to stick to water though, and save up my cheating for beer... :D
