They put fluoride in the water originally because it's a common chemical waste product, and costly to dispose of or store. The history on this is well documented. Despite the quantities used in the water supply being mostly useless for preventing tooth decay, no studies have shown it to be especially dangerous or harmful. It's use is definitely not correlated with the increase in cancer.

As someone that has been around since the early 70's it's completely obvious that we are warming the planet. I went from six foot snow driffs every year where I live, to not even a quarter of an inch. I now wear shorts all year round with t-shirts, where as two decades ago I wouldn't have even stepped outside for more than a few seconds because of the extreme cold.

People are ignoring the obvious. China 50 years ago didn't have anything going on, now they are the manufacturer to the world with 5 times the population. India is coming on board as well with its massive population.

So yes global warming is happening. However the solution isn't taxing people. The solution is getting rid of people. Tell these dumbfucks to stop having kids, make abortions not only free, but pay the mothers top dollar to have them, give tax breaks to anyone that doesn't have any children, force parents to pay for their kids own education at full price, stop the subsidizing of children and all forms of welfare and recognize these little fuckers for what they are...a scourge.

That is very much true.

I have been to countries where people have lots of kids and now there is an over crowding problem.
There are not enough resources to feed so many mouths.
Problem is in these countries having a large family is seen as the norm, something to be proud about.
The government needs to step in and deter people, where only the first child is given an education, health benefits, hospitals, doctors etc. Every child after that has to pay its own way. Hit them in the wallet.
It does work, some countries have jumped onboard with good results.

This is a natural cycle of the planet, the weather is always changing.

Did you know when this planet was first formed, the north and south poles were tropical in nature, and the equator was a block of ice. The exact opposite of today.

I'm not sure why the political resistance to the concept of increasing CO2, Methane levels over the past 50 years.

It's pretty simple. We live in a contained environment, a ball hurling through space. If you light a fire inside of a contained space and trap greenhouse gases that will be there for centuries than you have a problem on your hands.

China at one time was completing production on a coal fire burning energy plant every week. Many of you young guys simply have no clue that China had nothing and I mean absolutely nothing going on 50 years ago. Now they are the global polluter on steroids.

This idea that man can't effect his environment is 100% horseshit and I'm not sure if it comes from the religious whack jobs that believe their magical jew will keep them safe or they just don't like reality.

Now where we differ is how to handle this. I don't believe taxing will help at all, it's just a money grab, a way to enslave humanity for the benefit of government. The easiest way to control this destruction of our environment is to stop having children. Plant more forests and protect them, take down the fences and let nature and its weeds take over. Stop stuffing your fat guts with so much food, stop buying endless consumer goods, scale down and simplify your lives, stop working so much, a 40hr work week is bullshit, we shouldn't be working more than 20hr and 10hr would be better, the rest of the time should be spent relaxing, smoking a joint with your friends and family, sitting on the grass naked having orgies. That's what people really want to do, not buy a bunch of bullshit, get into debt, and work their lives away.

Hi! Check out the link i gave, the weather is always changing and will always change, that is history, facts. Look at the heatwave of the 70's, when co2 levels were lower than they are today, no one shouted global warming then.
Look at the heatwaves of the 1800's, when there was no pollution from industry whatsoever because there was no industry, and tempertaures spiked then.
Look at the link i supplied, when the equator was a ball of ice and the north and south poles were full of coconut trees, snakes, lizards.
Sure co2 and methane do help warm up the planet but water vapour, which makes up 80% of the atmosphere, is a much stronger greenhouse gas then the other two which make up a fraction of one percent of the atmosphere.
My point is that it is wrong to charge the people billions of dollars to tackle a problem with such little real world scientific evidence behind it, and after spending all these billions, that reducing carbon levels will have any proven effect.
In this time of financial crisis the government should be using tax dollars to help the people, help schools hospitals colleges, help the umemployed, invest in the country, create new jobs. Not hiring their friends and paying them millions to set up committees, think tanks etc to investigate such a dubious problem.
The government, whose first job is to take care of themselves and the people can drop dead, are capable of anything, the same government who supplied weapons to saddam hussain and watched him slaughter millions of innocents. See how little human life, your life, has to the government.
