Trying for a baby...should I PCT or HCG?

I've been on Test for over 1.5 years, my balls did shrink a bit. Wife now wants to try for a baby. Should I come off and PCT, or should I just start HCG while staying on Test? I have HCG at the ready, and I was using it at 1500iu per week up until a few months ago for testicular atrophy. Anyone have any experience in this arena?

You know what would be really interesting is guys that used hcg or hmg as part of their fertility protocol could comment on whether their kids had any issues.

I say this in light of new data on Metformin causing birth defects..

So, it might sound weird but, it could actually be a big help.

First thing you need to go is a get a sperm count; doesn't matter how much PCT or whatever you blast if you have azoospermia like I did.

If you go to a fertility clinic, they will tell you to drop everything and start hcg and clomid therapy; you could also get HMG and start using that as well, which is much more potent than HCG. I did all three to fix my issue to the point I had enough to get IVF.

I was thinking of making an appointment to get a sperm analysis done. I know that SOME guys dont always get fully shut down when on Test, but that might not be the case for me. I have two kids already, albeit they are nearly teenagers now. Fertility wasnt an issue previously, but I also was not on Test at the time. What do you think of enclomiphene as opposed to clomid?

What happened to me was, I was on TRT for 3 years straight, but higher than true TRT. Plus I ran some NPP and other shit here and there so I fucked myself.

One of my friends got his wife pregnant on true trt, so perhaps you can do, but a sperm count isn't expensive and you should see where you are at.

idk much about Enclomiphene. Everyone is different. Another friend was on the 200mg of TRT for seven years, he was completely shut down and had no sperm, but he recovered fully in three months using HCG only. He got her pregnant naturally.

I ran 10 weeks of NPP last year, and that has been over 9 months ago now. There still may be some metabolites around. Otherwise, it has been Test only. I just made an appointment with my GP so I can get a referral to wherever I need to go. We will see in the coming weeks where I stand. I have a feeling I will be shut down, since my nads have shrunk some.

Get a sperm analysis done before doing anything else if you've got insurance and a good PCP. You're usually going to have to tell the dr you and the mrs have been trying for 1+ years and no results. They'll do a work up on the both of you.

I've been on TRT for 9 years now. Have used HCG on/off during that time and haven't noticed any testicular shrinkage that im aware of. The mrs and i are thinking about kids yet we are older so we hit the clinic up to get worked up. Did my S.A a few weeks ago:Azoospermia-No Fresh Sperm found in sample.

That was a bit of a gut punch, i mean i figured at 175-200mg of Test C a week i would be low sperm for sure yet not zero'd out. I was hoping for 3-10million swimmers which is low but at least a starting point. 6+ million you can look into IVF if all else fails.

Made me think did i have bunk HCG all these years(PureTrig 5000) or was it just the length of time on TRT that zero'd everything out?

Moral of the story is dont be certain that just lowering your dose and adding HCG will ensure fertility. The older you are and longer you're on(me) is more likely you'll need to come off and start a recovery protocol.

I've started to up my HCG to 1500 IU/ week and added Clomid 50mg EOD while slowly tapering off test. Once im completely off in a few weeks I'll be blasting HCG for 3 weeks then going 100mg clomid+40 Nolva for a few weeks then dropping to 50 Clomid/day+20 Nolva until the mrs is pregnant. Thankfully we have an appointment later this month to speak with the urologist who'll likely RX the Clomid and not sure what else. Im just going to implement my own protocol to kick start the process. I'm looking to come off only so long as needed to ensure a solid pregnancy and then get back to TRT ASAP. At 44 TRT has made long hours at work doing physical labor tolerable and energy to train 5-6 times a week. I know coming off is going to be a rude awakening yet im certain i should be able to knock her up in 3-6 months god willing. Wish me luck gentlemen.

Exactly.

And like I was saying, my one friend had azoopermia, and my other got his wife pregnant on TRT of 125-40 I think. Also, think of Ronnie Coleman who has like 8 kids lol; so I wouldn't make any assumptions and I'd like to us when we say get a test.

I conceived my first son naturally, cycling on and off gear, but my daughter was IVF after years of continuous use.

Was able to see my primary doc this morning and was told that the urologist within the network doesn't do any fertility testing, and that I would need to find somewhere that I want to go and call back to have the referral made. It would also be out of pocket for me...so the sperm analysis is where I will start first. We both already have kids of our own and when we first got together, we agreed there would be no more kids. Things change I suppose.

Sperm analysis only cost me $150. I was luck to have the VA cover my IVF; let's hope your insurance covers that if it comes to that, because its like buy a new fucking car lol

Yea, if it came down to IVF, she wouldn't want to go through with it. We were both well aware of the risk involved with starting Test...and I had contemplated a vasectomy many times previously. If we end up pregnant, then great. If not, well...I suppose that's great too. Lol.

I will repeat what has been said in this thread with some personal experience.

I was on TRT for 1.5 years using HCG 250iu 2x per week. I also used Deca during that time prescribed by my clinic for neck pain. Never ran any real cycles and never over 200mg test. Mostly at 160mg test. I was totally azoospermatic. I quit TRT, waited one month and took clomid 25mg EOD for 3 weeks as prescribed by my urologist. My wife was pregnant 4 months later. Felt like shit even though my test levels returned to baseline pretty quick (330ng/dl)... waited until she was 12 weeks then began TRT again. Feeling night and day.

Would you say you felt like shit due to the side effects of Clomid, or just due to Test being lower than when you were on TRT?

I had to drop everything, and nothing made me feel any better... I think its the low T more than anything. I got fat as fuck, and the covid lockdowns didn't help.

As others have said, you need to get your numbers checked before you do anything. Counts, morphology and motility. Go from there.

Like FP, I had to drop everything and run clomid and HCG. About 4 months later my wife was knocked up and I got back on TRT faster then you could blink. Cialis was my friend during that time.

I have some HCG and was considering getting some Enclomiphene. Basically run PCT and once she's pregnant, go back to TRT. My last injection was 3 weeks ago and I am definitely feeling it. Noticed less frequent erections already and feeling tired through the day. Only thing with the HCG that I have...it's Hucog HP. It is in liquid form, and I didn't know that when I ordered it. I've read people have used it without any issue, but it's just odd to me that it is already a liquid suspension from the factory. Still going to mix it with bac water and see if a pregnancy test reads positive or not.

HCG will keep you shut down. If you were going to use it, you should have probably started by now bc it will delay your natural spermatogenesis and you will rely on HCG instead of your own LH.

IMO HCG should be started ASAP after your last injection and for a short duration while the ester clears leading to SERM. I think you will only need enclomiphene, which will not cause your body to be shut down, but make your body naturally produce LH = your fertility will return sooner.

Both my man. Hit up a killer post cycle with Nolvadex and clomid. Hcg higher that you normally would... stop everything and make sure the coconuts grow back. Get bloodwork and fertility tests a few months later. Worked for me! Good luck!
