Trusting your powder supplier

She actually cooks for me or brings food home (she is a food service director) 4-5 times a week. But to be clear, the kitchen is her official part of the house.

BB is cheap..but not needed with all brews. Just giving options, not dictating. To each their own.

If he is buying a small amount of power, (ie 50g,) and trusts his supplier then a scale is not required. Just throw all your power in the beaker and carrier on. A scale is required if you plan on making blends or smaller batches from your bulk purchase....just another option.

ive have never seen a recipe for any amout of ml's to call for 50grms powder ! lol plus you have to KNOW FOR SURE what your powder weighs. i can see why your handle is 1st timer ! and telling people bb is not needed,thats what holds powder in solution.sure some but very few dont need it.an d the scale you said to buy it doesnt weigh 0.00 lol.a scale needs to be accurate to at least 0.01 grm. so much bad info on the boards .

Common sense would dictate you would need a scale if you're making less then what you have....lol Not even going to bother with the rest of your comments, cuz you pretty much just agreed with what I said, yet you felt the urge to disagree about it....but whatever, like I said to each their own. im sorry bro if i came off rude, but you do say here..."JUST THROW ALL YOUR POWER IN THE BEAKER AND CARRIER ON" ..that's 50 grams and thats why you said we don't need a scale..and imo thats wrong. im gettin ready to brew some soon and it will be smooth , painless and accurately dosed. but hey bro im with you on home brewin its the way to go!

I had a regular source that has now gone out of business. So I decided I might try my hand at home brewing.
I know the rules and I'm not openly asking for powder sources, in fact I have already come across a few.
My question though, is there any way to tell that what I'm buying from them is quality powder? Are there any red flags to be looking for?
I guess I'm just a bit suspicious of products that come from china and what they do or don't have in them.
