trouble putting on mass

if you look through the flames the common point is this: if you want to build muscle you gotta eat. we can't compare an individual who is 5'8", 145 with individuals in fitness mags who sport similar BF, with approximately 50 additional pounds and years of training experience. this kid needs a base. at 145 the brother needs an additional 40 pounds to start with a solid base. as you know a base is achieved by eating everything that looks at you the wrong way, and training hard for a couple years until you put on 20 or 30 pounds naturally. eating more will benefit him much more than any AAS will at this point. if i were him i'd eat 6 big meals a day, and supplement with a high calorie, high protein weight gainer. i'd shoot for a total of 5000 calories every day and train hard. i'd consider creatine of glutamine, but only after i gained about 20 or so pounds naturally. i'd stick to that for a year or two and i'd get much closer to my goals that way than any drug would take me. that's just my .02.

Man it sounds like all of you guys have a little jealousy running through your veins. Sounds like you don't have the genetics to become ripped(or look good) and want to try to take it out on somebody else. I mean anybody can get bigger or get blown up. It is the 21st century now and I don't know if you guys have been looking at muscle magazines(apparently not) but the goal now is not to see how much you weigh or how much you can bench press but to have a PYSIQUE!!!! Take your bodybuilding frustrations elsewhere.

Who needs genetics when you've got all those great drugs out there?

at 5'8 145 w/ single diget bf I doubt he's a bag of bones, lean, yes but what he's got is muscle. you guys have seen pro fighters, he's the ave. size of a average welterweight and some of thoughs guys are very well built. there's alot of good advise here though, you've got to increase your cals. lots of protein, complex carbs, and good fat-- olive oil, flax seed oil will help increase your good fats. I mix it in my shakes, egg whites whatever it takes. If your going to do AAS then thats YOUR choice but start w/ low to mod amounts and see how your body responds, I wouldn't do orals till your sure this is something you really want to do..... good luck

First..You're no where near 3% bf..I don't care what you say..NO one is 3% BF. You couldn't live very long with a bf% that low.

You don't need gear..You need to learn how to train..and utmost you need to eat everything that isn't nailed down...Eat 4,000-5,000 calories everyday..eat over 250-300 grams of protein Every day...and get on a good training program Like HST or DFHT..Or D.C.'s or 5X5 something like that... And give up the idea that gear is going to take care of you, because it isn't...if you don't address the problems you have with your training and diet right now, you'll be in the same boat no matter how many cycles you do.

You beat me to it.

Couldnt have put it any better my self.

I am a hard gainer. My first year of college I weighted 112# @ 5"10. Now thats fucking skinny. I got roomed with a football player... we became great friends. But I was always hearing how skinny I was.... I had to do some thing. So for the next 3 years I trained hardcore with him. I got my self up to 145#s WITH OUT juice!!!! I've since been juice and currently off cycle for 4 months at 181# @ 9-10%.

EAT EAT EAT, always carry some kind of food with you i.e. protein bar, eat a 22 once piece of lean steak every night 4000-5000 cals 1gram a protein per pound of body weight MIN!!!!

MOST OF ALL IT JUST TAKES TIME YOUR YOUNG YOU DON'T NEED JUICE YET!!!!
