Too many sets per week?

Currently running a "Classic" hypertrophy routine:
Mon- Chest/Back
Tues- Shoulders/Arms
Wed- Legs (quad dom)
Thurs- Chest/Back
Fri- Shoulders/Arms
Sat-Legs (ham dom)
Sun- Rest
(Calves/forearms/abs 3/4 x a week)

I average about 16-20 sets per workout per body part. So weekly about 32-40 sets a week at about 10-15 rep range (arms few less sets, legs few more)

Is this too high set range for the week? Thoughts?

I'd say it all depends on how fast your recovery time is. I would venture to guess that that would be higher than I can handle. Not sure though.

I wouldn't recover properly from that, but I'm old and feeble.

I'll be 40 in a few weeks, feel great, I mean by the Sunday rest day I'm in need of a rest but seem to be recovering otherwise. Just not sure if that much work would have an adverse effect on growth

Are you still seeing progress in the mirror? If so, and you're recovering fine, I don't think you're overtraining. If gains are stagnant, then it's time to switch up your routine; less volume/more weight, different split, etc.
