syringe disposal?

How do you guys dispose of your pins? Just wondering because the goal in a process such as this is to avoid getting in any kind of legal trouble while at the same time keeping others safe. I would be affraid a kid could get their hands on it, a bum or a sanitation worker, you know things of that nature. I've been told by my diabetic freind that sharps containers have to be disposed of at designated places, and NOT just your household trashcan because upon compression the hard plastic will break and expose sanitation workers to the pins. Anyway, any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks, sx

Put them in a coffee can. When it fills up, duct tape it shut and throw it away.

I just flush mine............

But realy I do the same as Gizzly. I always take the plunger out, put the pin in upside down and force the plunger back in to cut down on the odds of anyone ever getting stuck. Then I put them in a can till its full, tape it up, put it in a trash bag and be gone. I remember this post on the old Meso and someone said that they went as fas as using wire cutters to cut the pins down and then they put it all in a plastic bottle and stick it in the fire pit in the back yard till its nothing more that a ball of melted plastic.

get a protein jug... fill it with syringes... then ridiculously ducktape the jug...

or you can go to walgreens and pick up a container specifically designed for pins

if you get really anal about it you could always use spray foam insulation to top off the container, then super glue the shit out of it.

Thanks guys, I'm just glad that no one is suggesting dumping it in a public dumpster. Where I live, that in itself is a crime. And yes, I'm rather anal about this

or u can buy the plastic container from get pinz.com.....thats what I use..then I throw it in the hospital dumpster...

Follow whid and ratmonkey's advise. It is the easiest. Take your old protein jug. Throw them in there. When done pack it with paper and all or (spray foam)( to keep them from making noise rattling around) and then crazy glue the top closed and go throw it in a dumpster behind some building or job site. Simple.

Just throw it away,wraped up in plastic food lion bag,put it in regular thrash.No big deal here ,but i do live in good sized town.
