Steroids and High Blood Pressure

A friend of mine is thinking about doing his first cycle, but he is currently taking medication for high blood pressure. Will steroid use, specifically test and winstrol, have any negative affects on him as a result of this? I wouldn't think that the testosterone would be a problem, because it exists naturally in the body, but I have no educated knowledge about these circumstances. Can someone who knows something about this please help me out? Thanks.

Bro any steroid that causes water retention(including test, although it exists in the body naturally when cycleing you are going to be using much higher levels than your body could ever produce) will raise your blood pressure. I know because I have problems with High BP and whenever I go on it definantly causes my BP to rise. He will probably be fine if he does some cardio and keeps an close watch on his BP. Also he could use and anti-e or arim to try to cut down on the water retention.

My blood pressure has always been in the normal except when I was on a cycle it would go up to high normal for my age group. The test will cause water retention and will definitly raise his blood pressure. Seems to me he would definitly be gambling taking juice when he allready naturally has a blood pressure problem. Something I notice when I started taking extra calcium, magnesium, d alpha tocopherol (natural vit e), and garlic tablet my blood pressure dropped. It may help lower his blood pressure but I just can't see taking the risk if his pressure is high enough to warrant medical attention.

Is water retention the sole reason for the increase in blood pressure during a cycle? If so, then you'd think that he'd be fine as long as he used arimidex.

Right now, with the medication that he's taking, his BP is normal, but from what I understand, he needs the meds for it to stay that way (Kind of like Lipitor with cholesterol). I'll talk to him tonight and I'll find out exactly what medication he is on. Basically, I'm just wanting to know if any of you guys have a medical background, or medical experiences, that would qualify you to comment on whether or not steroids would react badly with the medication. If taking steroids would simply mean that his BP would be higher than normal during the cycle and then go back, then I think he'd be willing to take them. He is mainly concerned with the reaction between steroids and the medication that he's taking for his BP.
