Public Notice on Source Thread Integrity and Harm Reduction
MESO-Rx maintains source threads for a specific purpose: harm reduction through transparency, accountability, and clear access to relevant information. These threads exist so members can review documented experiences, laboratory testing, unresolved issues, and source responses without interference or distortion.
Off-topic discussion that overwhelms or dilutes source threads undermines this purpose. When relevant information is pushed back by dozens or hundreds of posts, it becomes difficult for members to assess risks, identify patterns, or make informed decisions. There are more than twenty other subforums available for general discussion, social interaction, and unrelated topics.
Behavior that effectively buries or obscures relevant source information is discouraged and may be moderated. This includes both intentional and unintentional conduct, such as excessive off-topic posting, repetitive commentary, or thread flooding that reduces the visibility of materially relevant content.
MESO-Rx recognizes that such behavior may arise from opposing motivations, including:
Regardless of intent, both outcomes impair transparency and conflict with the forum’s harm-reduction mission.
Isolated or incidental off-topic posts are typically handled through routine moderation. Sustained or coordinated behavior that degrades the integrity of source threads may result in enforcement actions.
MESO-Rx is not a source forum, marketplace, or endorsement platform. The forum does not select, recommend, promote, or shield sources, nor does it suppress scrutiny of unpopular or controversial ones. All sources are held to the same standards of public accountability.
Members are encouraged to engage in good-faith, source-relevant discussion that supports critical evaluation rather than advocacy, suppression, or manipulation of information. These expectations exist to preserve transparency, protect community members, and ensure MESO-Rx remains focused on harm reduction rather than promotion.
Moderation actions may be applied to preserve informational integrity and community safety.
