Starting TRT and need advice

Hi everyone,

A couple of years ago I had blood tests run and scored a whole whooping 335 ng/dL for Total Testosterone. Low but not low enough to have my current Doctor prescribe anything. Since then I have become interested in AAS, and have done a lot of research. Recently I went to an Endocro. and had my levels retested. Since I wanted to receive TRT I did a couple of things to have my levels as low as possible (lack of sleep, no sexually activity, low-fat diet, etc.). My results came back 132 ng/dL, and my doctor decided that I need to receive TRT. Which is wonderful, as least for me because I like to have some legality on my side. I start receiving Testosterone Cypionate (100mg/week self-injected) in about a week. I'm wondering how to convince my doctor to include all the ancilliaries (HCG, Arimidex, etc.) without appearing as if I'm trying to dupe him? I'm 6' and weigh 210 lbs, so I don't appear to be the stereo-typical Professional AAS user, but I'm afraid that if I start mentioning this study and that study and the need for HCG/Arimidex/Proscar that he might become highly suspicious.

Any ideas?

Yes, I plan on Boosting 1 or 2 times a year to augment the minuscule 100mg/week for TRT and I'm wondering how best to go about this also? I assume that I would perform a normal cycle and resume TRT inbetween.

How often will the Doctor order blood tests, so I don't get caught mid-cycle? I noticed that SWALE said... an initial test and then a 1 month followup. I've also read that tests are performed every 3 months, but I believe they were refering to PSA, other Metabolic Panels, not the Total Testosterone tests.

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

If your doctor is now on board with the HRT you need to be up front and ask him about the useage of hcg when on HRT can say a freind uses it with his HRT.
Arimidex is to stop gyno you might have a hard time asking for that with out symptoms.
If you have hair loss by some rogaine or nizoral shampoo that should help, he might be a little hesitant to give you proscar because it will throw of the psa levels.
As for blood tests it is hard to say I have a HMO insurance so the doctor takes them once a year, but once again just ask how often you need to visit for blood work or if he wrote a script see how many refills are on it, should say on the box you get from the pharmacy.

My script is for 200mg every 2 weeks for 3 months with one refill, so 6 months of TRT. I could assume that he would want to do blood tests at the end of the 6 months, but I would hope he would want to do some sooner to see how I am responding to the treatment.

Unfortunately, I do have gyno symptoms. My doctor has diagnosed me with Tanner Stage III gyno that developed during puberty and never cleared up. His has admantely suggested that I seek surgery to correct the situation, and has even wrote a letter urging that I receive treatment.

The most annoying thing about the whole situation is that my insurance only allows a 31 day Rx. So my pharmacy was unable to use multi-dose vials and instead had to use 2 single-dose 200mg 1 ml vials. Together, they cost $84.84, but the 10ml multi-dose vial only cost $88.54 !!! So the 10ml vial is 1/5 the cost, since I would have needed 10 single-dose vials to equal the 10ml vial. Insurance Companies !!! If I can't work something out with them, its still cheaper for me, in the long run, to get the 10ml version without insurance.

Well with the gyno symptoms it sure would not be out of reason to talk with the doc about arimadex or nova, but if he doesnt want to write a script or your insurance wont pay it is very easy to find over the net or swale may have a suggestion.
About your script it will depend on how the script is written if it says 2cc a month then they will not be able to sell a 10 cc bottle in one shot even if you are willing to pay.
I had the same problem with my insurance company I called them every name in the book and had the same problem with the pharmacy but they took a much more suitable approach.

Can you elaborate on this I am probably going to hear the same thing. How did you solve this issue?

The pharmacy just issued me a 10ml bottle every month and billed the insurance company for a single dose at $88.00 bucks a pop.
If the doc writes you a script for 10ml that would last 5 months then have the pharmacy call him when it is refill time and he can decide if he wants to see you. The insurace company will cover it because it is now a single dose but because the way he has worded the prescription your insurance company will only pay for that amount per month.

Let me make sure I am understanding this correctly: you came here for advice on how to fool your doctor?

Not to fool his doctor but how to get his Insurance company to pay for more then 2ml at a time and not even to fool them.

The insurance company should provide you with the dosage the doctor prescribes for you.

(Exactly) so if your doc prescribes 2ml a month and you have a $30.00 co-pay from your insurance it is costing a $150.00 for 10ml, which sells for less then $90.00. Now if the doc writes a script for 10ml no refills you pay $30.00 dollars and you dont have to go back to the pharmacy once a month.
