Raymont Edmonds- Why is mens physique getting bigger than classic?

Raymont-Edmunds.png
6'2 235 on stage in men's physique.
The classic physique weight cap for 6'2 is 230. What the hell is going on? He won in 2019. Men's physique was never meant to be this way. Now size wise its surpassing classic...

Because there's only a height limit, not weight. For a 6'0. Ft male it is 212lbs in classic, none in physique. It's easier for these people to come in bigger and not have to worry about conditioning as much...or legs

Thanks for the reply. I feel like it makes the division pretty whack than. I think they've either got to make a weight cap or toss it out.

It brings in too much money and has more fans than open bodybuilding.
It’s “wack” to you but the younger generation loves it.
It has completely changed from where it first started and the original intent though. Just like every other class does and has always been the case they’ll continue getting harder and bigger every year.
Look at where women’s bb started and then look at where it ended up.
In the local shows it’s common to see guys compete in multiple classes.
what’s really crazy is when you see local guys in better condition than some pros

Good comment!

They need to ditch the board shorts. Fucking shit kills me. So "bro."

If they did that it will be so hard to tell the difference between the guys lol men's physique is already becoming like classic, body type wise, minus the posing. It's
just confusing.

I really liked the body type of Jeremy buendia when he won in 2017... And i think that's what men's physique was supposed to be about. In 2017 when he won he was just
5'8 180...
