Hey guys, wanting to get your insights on if it's acceptable to use NovoRapid (Aspart) as a substitute for Humalog (Lispro)? My source only has NovoRapid available which is why I'm asking. Based on what I've read the difference seems negligible:
Does this sound right and based on this is it okay to go forward with NovoRapid? Thanks in advance.
| Brand Name | Generic Name | Type | Onset | Peak | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Humalog | Insulin Lispro | Rapid-acting | 10-15 min | ~1 hr | 3-4 hrs |
| NovoRapid | Insulin Aspart | Rapid-acting | 10-20 min | ~1-1.5 hrs | 3-5 hrs |
Does this sound right and based on this is it okay to go forward with NovoRapid? Thanks in advance.
