Mr. USA Middleweight Champ Daniel Alexander Has Tragically Passed Away

Another young bodybuilder gone too soon.
It seems that a great deal of young talented bodybuilders have been tragically losing their lives recently. Now among their unfortunate ranks is bodybuilding standout Daniel Alexander, a talented up and comer who was preparing to make his return to the posing stage after a two year hiatus.

A IFBB 212 Pro with a tremendous amount of potential, Daniel Alexander was recently preparing for a return to competition since winning the 2017 Mr. USA Middleweight title. He was prepping for the Legion Sports Fest to compete in the 212 division when he suddenly passed away.

The initial report does not provide a cause of death, but his passing was confirmed by bodybuilding prep coach Dave Kalick in a post on Instagram.

Another competitor gone too soon. Generation Iron sends condolences to the friends and family of Daniel Alexander.

So has the cause of death been released yet? Heart attack? 31 is super young for natural causes.

True, good point. But wasn't it too far out from show to be heavy diuretic use?

Not sure man, I think the show was two or three weeks out but I'm not certain.

I'm not a bodybuilder, so I'm not completely certain of how far out you start really start to focus on getting dry etc.

He was 48 days out fellas. Nearly 7 weeks. My bet was on a heart attack. I hate seeing these stories. I am making a habit of posting them here not to drive home a point, or fear monger. I do it because I love bodybuilding. It's something I am passionate about myself. I do share this story with you all knowing that most of you share my love for bodybuilding. I hope you all may also come to share my deep concern for my own health and wellness. I hope all who takes note of this thread the best. Be mindful of your journeys.

What harm would it do to have an ultrasound of your heart? See how it's functioning. The ultra sound/stress test is the very best. Take note. You may even find your ekg is abnormal. Just be safe gentlemen.

RIP Daniel Alexander.

Bless his family and his partner.

I actually do agree with the echo of the heart etc., I had one done almost a year ago and everything checked out good. Made me feel better.

Yeah my EKGs always come back abnormal...but i had a stress test done and the doc said those were some of the best results he's ever seen..
