Powerlifting and relationships

Any of you boys/girls have issues with relationships because of your training? I have a wife, and she says she's supportive, but it never fails, when I'm at the gym, she will call me 20 min after I get there and ask when am I coming home? I don't think I'm asking much. 2 evenings during the week, and mornings on the weekends. On weekends I'm home before the wife and kids wake up. Do I have any hope of meaningful conflict resolution?
Jesus man, although this behaviour is fairly common amongst women it's not fair, it's an attempt to control and keep you on a short leash, there's many aspects to being a man, fatherhood being a husband etc, but your still a man and your need to honour your masculine spirit by pursuing your interests, for me I lift, coach and train bjj
My wife leaves me to it and I'm a better more stable man as a result, my wife races mountain bikes and I let her be with her training etc, it's about mutual respect and allowing each other space, mind you it wasn't always like this, it took time to get this far

We have since come to an agreement. But it would be much easier if she was part of the lifting/active lifestyle community.

I wouldn't have a wife that feels entitled to call me after just 20 minutes.

No issues with mine, she is very supportive actually. She didn't like when I competed in bodybuilding because the amount of gear involved, but since I've switched to powerlifting I've dropped most stuff and use only 200-300mgs of test she is happy.

Unfortunately you started a bad habit by answering your phone way to quickly at the gym. Habits can be hard to break.
