Post Office Issue

Need some help to see if there is anything I can do. It seems the P.O. has lost a package that I shipped. My Delivery confirmation # shows it left my city Dec 11th and made it to the destination city Dec 12th. The Delivery Conf. says it has left the processing area at the P.O. office, but has not been delivered to the recipient yet. So in essence it got lost somewhere between the P.O. and the address. The reciepient has gone to the p.o. and they have no idea where it may be. What is our best course of action? Just Wait??

I put my addy on the return label so will they eventually ship it back to me?

i HAD THAT HAPPEN TO ME WITH A PACKAGE FROM CANADA.it had a tracking number but seemed to just vanish after it left Canada.you go to post office fill out a form they look into it in theory anyway.Its upto them its theirresponsibility but go there file a complaint.
Mine showed up 10 dayslater unopened untouched.their "investigation"was worthless but its all you can do they are liable forit and dont deny it.

I had a package lost and 10 days later USPS site claimed package was misrouted and on it's way. If it made it to PO but they can't find it then it's probably there but misplaced. That happened to me yesterday and I told the guy I was expecting a package so he looked a again and finally found it...cLeRks

I hope you guys are correct!! What's weird is it shows that it left the P.O. in his city on the 12th but has not been delivered since then. I hoep it shows up soon so I can quit worrying about it.
