Peptides for muscle mass, young age, etc

Yo guys,
i have a question for a friend of mine ( not an excuse lol im on stronger compounds) he's 18 so around the peak of natural hormones in life.
He would like to take peptides purely for muscle mass, but Im not qualified enough in peptides to guide him since he does NOT want to take stronger shits than peptides.

Do some basics such as cjc/ipa would work , especially at his age ?
Other peptides are better for his goal ?

His body is already cranking everything to the max. Adding stuff that makes him produce more GH for example would be marginal gains at best.
Just upping food (300cal surplus/day) with lots of water, Vegetables, Carbs and protein should be the most effective thing to do.

Later on (in his 20s) he can start thinking about peptides, since his GH production will have slowed by then.
