People's Rights

Curious if anyone has experience with this group. I'm not shilling for them or anything. I saw the site for the first time this afternoon.

They don't come across like your average end of the world survival group. Seem more into connecting like minded people together. They must get their share of extremists, though. I'm not into the Proud Boys kind of resistance, but it would sure be nice if there were people I could trust if the Antifa hoards came wandering through my neighborhood.

So, who will you call when your rights are threatened? You will call your neighbors! You will know who they are and how to contact them. They will also know who you are and how to respond and act quickly. This is what we -- as good neighbors -- should and must do to preserve our freedom, families, faith and future.

This is how freedom has always been secured.

People's Rights

Family Faith and Future sounds like a group that want to ram anything down our throat but true freedom. These are cute people that live in cute homes reading cute bibles, completely sanitized from the gritty reality of life.

I'm as anti-government as you can get. However I've seen from the faith and family crowd a willingness to get down on their knees to kiss cop ass and to shove their religion in government functions....schools and meetings.

If you mindlessly respect authority like most of the right wing christian conservatives do, then you will get heaps of authority and they will laugh at you behind closed doors.

Antifa isn't the problem, the problem is the police state and a society that is risk averse favoring women and children, locking up as many men as possible.

If someone wants to join a club who cares, but don't form that group to come along and tell me what I have to do. I get sick of these mom and apple pie types telling me how I have to conduct my life, what my morals and values should be. These people can be armed and ready to battle, but keep their dogma and propaganda bullshit to themselves, and most importantly leave the rest of us alone, don't become politicians and start in with that god and family horseshit.

If these people truly want freedom they should move off grid and live in communities of like minded. Get away from any of the resources government provides. I think they'd find their anxiety over the issue of antifa coming in and burning it all to the ground would disappear. Nothing like living in the middle of nowhere to set you free if these people really want government out of their lives. Get rid of media and TV, if there's no news of antifa or the goings on of politicians they would quickly lose track of the thing that scares them so much.

You clearly didn't read their about page.

The difference between groups like Antifa and right wing groups is vast. Antifa is funded to start shit, to expose shit, to loot and riot and have ppl acting like animals. Some of these right wing groups you may not see in the media as much, but they have far more automatic weapons, far more ex military and retired police who have been trained to kill and instruct members on how to kill, and they train on a regular basis.

Just wish they had more info without having to join first. It's not always about armed conflict. It may come to that some day, but I have plenty of skills to offer that don't involve violence. The best form of resistance IMO is eliminating dependence.

That's an interesting concept... I think any of these groups that try to bring groups of people together like this are appealing to extremists but it depends on how the manage that from an admin POV.

The way they make their statements about defending one's rights, they come off like they are meant to be a legal fund but I don't think that's it... Not enough info. The government will infringe on the rights that they're talking about more than antifa... They seem to be more of a neighborhood watch on steroids, no pun intended.

I got the impression they have a lot of training and resources provided by other members, but it's (understandably) hidden to non members. If that's just defense related resources, I wouldn't be all that interested. But if it includes training and resources to make one more self sufficient, group sufficient really, I feel I would have a lot to offer and to gain.

If they are talking legal, I agree it would have very limited utility. Too much legal and political power is already in the hands of the opposition (I'm stopping short of calling them the enemy, but I don't know why I should at this point).

Even though it would have limited utility, I feel it would be a better cause to fight for... For the very reasons you indicated. I also think bringing some of those legal issues to the forefront would be great. You have guys that can't handle a gun for defense purposes but you have legal minds, marketing minds, etc to protect people exercising their liberty.

I still like the idea of neighbors protecting each other from a defense POV too. They'd be far more useful than most cops... Call them and your dog might be shot 20min later, or the neighbor when they blow down the wrong door.

It seems like it would be a good idea. I personally am not trusting of groups or people in general so I try and prepare to handle most situations myself.
In the case of civil unrest I believe the people who are willing to assist will. I'm not friendly with my neighbors but I'd intervene if it was needed the same as I would to help anyone caught on the wrong side of the stupidity.

Antifa was a cute name the right threw on protesters. Right wing groups are an actual danger. As DD pointed out

One of the big issues I could see happening is when the groups encourage you to attend events and expose yourself when "shit hitting the fan" is all relative. Do you really want to risk losing your job/freedom/family by putting yourself in situations you didn't need to be in? You could just avoid protests and rallies and probably be safer

This is another example of unnecessary self induced anxiety.

If the government does something you don't like you adapt and look for ways to get around mandates and if you can't you either accept them or you find a nice cabin in the woods to live.

However you will not find much enlightenment from a group of hardcore right wing nut jobs that end up pissing all your time away with bible talk of the coming Apocalypse that is now almost 2000 years behind schedule.

You'd have to be an idiot in the age of surveillance to do anything that could be recorded and used against you.

If you want to show up with balaclava and sunglasses on a bicycle with no ID, that might work, but anything else is asking for trouble.
