Hi guys I know everybody loves whey protein, they have the fastest absorbtion and ok we all agree on it.
But how about other shakes during the day, to add up proteins, i have been using pea protein mixed up with leaucine for a while and i think they were the same about benefits with an extra one benefit that they made me feel lighter.
Do you guys have experience with soy/hamp/pea or brown rice ones??
Many says that vegetal protein have fitoestrogens but i doubt is a relevant quantity.
which one did u feel better on??

I only use whey because it's been around for along time. Whey is tried and proven to work.

I've tried vegan pea protein because my wife is a hippie and I wanted to please her by trying her suggestion. Nothing wrong with the taste or clumping.

I feel the same physically with either one, but mentally feel like I am getting more out of whey. I think this is simply due to stubbornness.

But I do love me some hemp

Only thing is you have to make sure the protein you are using are complete protein chains because if not they are essentially useless to our bodies. I believe pea protein is incomplete, but I am unsure what is needed to finish the chain (that may be why you add leucine).

I use soy sparingly just to change it up. Maybe once a week or so. I really enjoy egg white protein powders but they are very scare right now and have been for quite some time. Only issue with these are some clump pretty easily causing for a stir instead of shake. Although some are easy to mix but might not taste as good as the others.

How about the brown rice? That always intrigued my interest. Anyone try it?

I only use Soy, hemp, and another type of vegan blend protein with pea, amaranth, artichoke and quinoa.
One serving alone is 21 g Bcaa.

I am probably the only vegan juicer on this board. I get my balls busted a lot for it. I am aware that that a diet high in animal proteins and whey will lead to superior gain for most people.
I still make gains just not as much and not as fast, but there still solid gains.

My money, my gear my fucking business.
I don't care what people think.

Absorption rate of protein isn't a big deal since most of us will constantly be in a post-prandial state. There wil always be overlapping of intake, digestion, absorption, etc of protein so the quickest isn't necessarily the best. I've tried a few of the ones you listed but prefer whey bc it's available everywhere.

you are not the only one, well i dont define myself a vegan but i eat like that exept for honey, my reason is just because is a cleaner food. I did try both diets and talking about gains it doesnt make any differents as long as you cover your macros.
I'd even suggest a vegan diet for all those who get fat easily and if someone use roids is a good thing since vegan diets helps with blood pressure, high cholesterol and all those shit.

i agree about the price, hemp protein and rice protein are a bit incomplete but a good and healthy supp to add up protein intake, but they are fucking expensive, i never got the soy either because of the legend of the estrogen that i dont believe but still it holds me from buy them even if they are cheap, i used to buy whey and pea protein (adding leucine ) because i got a website here in australia where i can get them for the price of the concentrate so i keep switching every time i run them out.

These are my go too proteins.
I use the hemp only for green smoothies.
The other two are blended into gainer shakes.
1 scoop soy pro
1 scoop veg pro
1 cup raw oats
3 tbls of almond butter
1/4 cup of real coconut milk
2 tbls of macadamia nut oil
These equals close to 1000 cals and 75g of protein.
I have a good recipe for the green smoothies also.
But no honey for me!!

Yum!
If you do not eat honey for moral reason, a few months ago some guys from Byron Bay Australia came up with their concept of building bee's houses with a special material that let the honey slip out by itself filling a container where i can get it, all of this to avoid smashing what the bees build and archive in days/months, they sold their products around the world, if u like honey but not the practices that is a good way to preserve this special insect without demaging their habitat

That's pretty cool man.
When I was backpacking around Nepal a few years ago it cool to see that farmers would build hives into the walls of there houses.
They would be able to access the honey from the inside of the house, while the bees were free to come and go from the outside.
Pretty brilliant!!

Some of the honey even has medicinal and hallucinogenic properties.
If you have time this is a good video to watch.
