Pasta versus Rice

They did a big science test a few years ago pitting potatoes against rice and against pasta for nutritional value . They all 3 had about the same in carbohydrates but the potato blew them away in vitamins/minerals .....
At much higher volume. I know it isn’t a concern for most people but food volume matters when cals climb. More efficient ways to get nutrients than voluminous carbs. My .02.

Sounds quite nice actually, although it’s not something I’d of thought up myself.

Pretty much as per Mac’s post: whichever is easiest for you to digest, which for me is rice.

Personally I love pasta, but unfortunately as I’ve gotten older it gives me the shits big time, so it’s a no-go for me nowadays.
Try gluten free. Cooks faster. Tastes great. You just dont fart all night after eating it. But some ladies dont like a man that farts. Couldnt see myself with a bitch like that. Mine pushes on my tummy and cheers if one pops out.

I don’t think it’s a gluten issue as I’m absolutely fine with other foods containing gluten, eg wholemeal bread, oats & weetabix. I’m not sure why, but my ability to digest some forms of processed carbs started to decline in my late 30’s (I’m now late 40’s).

That said, I will give the gluten free pasta idea a bash at some point & let you know how it goes.

Potatoes are generally a very good carbohydrate, there is a lot of potassium there.

In addition to pasta, I really love bassmati rice, I add coconut and butter and a little parsley with dill and, of course, salt.
