Got a call from paypal, have collected funds for a wide range of things and they verified some withdrawls I had made to my bank. I said yes, that was me. They asked what I was selling and I mentioned all kinds of things, baseball cards, and I said old vitamins because i used to work at a GNC. THEN THE GUY SAYS "SOME SAY ANABOLICS".... I SAY "Well I dont know anything about that"

SHOULD I BE WORRIED????

Dear xxxxxxx,

We appreciate the fact that you chose PayPal to send and receive payments
for your transactions.

However, after a recent review of your account, it has been determined that
you are currently in violation of PayPal's Acceptable Use Policy. The
Policy prohibits the use of PayPal in the purchase or sale of any drug or
other substance, or immediate precursor, included in Schedule I of the
Uniform Controlled Substance Act (21 U.S.C. 801 et seq.), or drug
paraphernalia (as defined in 21 U.S.C. 863). The complete Acceptable Use
Policy addressing Illegal Drugs and Paraphernalia can be found at the
following URL:

In order to comply with the Acceptable Use Policy and avoid the limitation
or closure of your account, you will need to:

1. Submit the online Acceptable Use Policy affidavit.

This is not intended to be an all-inclusive review or list of your Internet
sites in violation. Furthermore, the violations of the Policy described
above are not intended to be an all-inclusive list. It is the
responsibility of the user to ensure that all transactions comply with the
Acceptable Use Policy.

For more information about the status of your account, please log in to
your PayPal account.

We encourage you to login and return your account to good standing as soon
as possible. Failure to respond by June 12, 2005 will result in the
further escalation of this issue.

We appreciate your cooperation in this matter. Please understand that this
is a security measure meant to help protect you and your account. We
apologize for any inconvenience. If you have any questions, please contact
the PayPal Acceptable Use Policy Department at aup@paypal.com.

Sincerely,

I emailed their AUP@paypal.com to find out what it is that they believe i was selling illegally, said that I have not and do not intend to sell anything illegal and

"I would like to know if a customer of mine may have put down
"drugs" or "viagra" or something pharmeceutical of that nature as
what was being purchased when in fact it might have been something
else.

I was told you could have access to that sort of information and
could help me clear my account from such false charges. Please
respond and let me know what it is, which sale(s) and to who these
claims are from and what they claimed was purchased."

ended the email, told them to get back to me and we'll see.

I have now gone through their process of 1) eliminating all items that do not agree with their policy from my website (never had a website anyway) and 2) agreed to their online affidavit (not with a signature, just by typing 'I agree' as they require and my account is back in good standing.

Karch,,,, you get my PM, could use your help on this one buddy!

update.... found a transaction through going through my history where one person put 1-AD as the subject... fucking moron. That may have caused all this shit

Got damn! Sometimes one person on the other end of a transaction can be so damn stupid. But thanks for posting this. This just helps many of us inform people on the other end of transaction in what to and what not to list as what you purchasing or sending funds for. Really informative.

its a lesson learned. Anyone can cause u trouble even if they are playing a joke. be carefull on everything, ebay, etc. they do pay attention.
