Ohio power deadlift bar at the Canton Unleashed meet. Thats only RPS i have done. I think its for both. Yea its low for sur . I didnt even see there were prereq lifts. I can do that with squat and dead alon . I did push pull at Unleashed. I might have to do a full meet to get prereq total before worlds.
 
A 400sq 500dl and 300bp would do it. My competitive nature might no let me just put up submaximual numbers. Wonder if i could recover and peak again in 2 months. This could be the year i find out just what im capable of.

  1. Platform
    For meets that include squatting, the lifting platform must measure a minimum of 9 feet by 12 feet. For meets that do not include squatting the platform may measure a minimum of 8 feet by 8 feet The lifting platform may be constructed with wood or rubber matting and must be covered with carpeting that provides adequate traction and minimal compression. The platform area is reserved for the referees, spotters (meet provided and lifter provided), loaders, approved personnel and the lifter. Any adjustments to the equipment on the platform or the platform itself, will be designated by the referees and/or meet director.
  2. Bars
    All bars must be of the Olympic type. Specifically designated squat, bench press or dead lift bars may be used. There should be a diameter machine marking on the bar should be taped to measure 81 cm or 31-7/8 inches between markings or tape. National and international competitions require the use of Squat Specific Bar and a Dead Lift Specific Bar (no center knurling). The bars used in the warm-up area should be the same type as that used on the lifting platform.
 
66 Days to No surrender meet in Eaton OH near Columbus. That will give plenty of time to recover and peak for worlds. Im not expecting huge total or records here just to get a solud qualifier for worlds. I guess i should print up a callander and plan an 8 week peak out I never did 8 weeks always 18 or above. I might just skip Cirrca Maxima phase and cut 5x5 to a few weeks it beats the fuck out of me anyway. I am going to send out a few SOS emails and see what a couple of the Bigs that been doing Westside style ttaining longer than I have would do.

4 SOS DMs sent. I never prepared for a fast peak and have no idea what to do. I do know today is day 1. Max effort low body Probably SSB a 5x5 with 85% GHRs. And deficit DL. then some light Goblet Squats Reverse Hypers and call it a day
 
8 weeks is plenty of prep time. I’d be goin higher and higher intensity and lowering volume every week then taper the last 2 weeks. Shoot for big PR singles 2-3 weeks out
 
Yea that does usually work but coming off a big weight cut there can be hidden weakness. I noticed my hip adductors are little weak today so ill do some band work on off days . I dont want to tear something off the bone before a meet. If it happens at a meet i can live with that. I did camber bar box squats today some light 5s and added 2 plates and some light tripples and im feeling it already. I did some ham work on GHR not the typical GHR raises more a pull back type move that only targets hams. I want to see if i was firing glutes doing the squats ill know tomorrow. Im going to use some supplement work tomorrow to hit weak spots. And probably kettlebell swings for time. Nothing heavy though
