Multi-vitamins

I've been using Centrums but they suck. What are some good ones that your body actually will use instead of pissing it out?

You will piss out any excess amount of vitamins that your body doesnt need/cant use.

When I was in the Corps and stationed in California I found Great Earth Vitamins , tried them and never felt a need to look for anything else. They have a Multi Vit / Mineral group (four Tablets) that provide everything you need and more.

A couple of years ago Consumer Reports did some research on Vitamins (lots of Testing) and found Great Earth vits to be among the best (may have even placed number #1 but I can't remember).

Great Earth does not sell on-line but you can do a Google Search and get some phone numbers for Stores (most are in the West).

Twinlab Dual-Tabs, best quality/ingredient amounts w/ price. If price is not an issue, Life Extension Mix from Life Extension Foundation.

Why does centrum suck?

that 100% bullshit is very misleading. that 100% of the RDA is first of all outdated(set up around 1945 when test where done showing WWII soliders where difficent in many vitimans/minerals) so that 100% is not for optimal health and preformance but more a less a baseline so you wont be defecent in those vitimans. also that 100% was based on the avg man's weight back then which i belive was something around the area of 160or 170lbs. one of the three things i belive gnc sells that's no crap is their good multis.

I use Pharmanex LifePak... The stuff that supposedly is sponsoring the olympics this year. I had an anti-oxidant and general health test done before i took the stuff, and I was SICKLY low, now I'm ABOVE AVERAGE. I pay like 40 dollars a month, and they ship the boxes to my house. 62 individual packs with 4 pills in each pack. 1 pill is the vitamins, 1 is 2 servings of vegetables, and 2 pills are mineral packs. Take that 2x a day and you'll be healthy as hell

My understanding is a panel reviews the rda on occasion and adjusts if need be. On the down side if i remember correctly you are appointed to the panel and do not need any education or any thing in the field to be considered for appointment.

vitamins

The pharmanex test is a scam..You can not test for all antioxidants with a light,,,you can test for one antioxidant with one color light,,,they test for one (claiming to test for all) and guarantee when you retest after using their product you will test higher..So they load there product up woth the antioxidant they test for,,pretty screwy..I use a multi from Apex Fitness,,most gyms sell it..it has a time released coating and they use the most ideal forms of all nutrients (i've done the research)

Im read that twinlab has good quality mulit's

I am taking them now. The 180capsule with iron formula. Pretty good, but I am always looking for better multi-vitamins/and multiminerals because there are better products available. GNC have great ones too and they are great because they are time-released and come in tables. capsules, and softgels. I prefer softgels and take my vitamins with a teaspoon of safflower oil and water. Since vitamins like b-complex, vitamin c, vitamin a(ect) are water solutable and vitamins like d, e, k(ect) are fat solutable-taking with water and some efa helps with absorbtion.

........APEX, profle 5, for high protien. its contoled realease, so its use when needed. also contains an anti-oxadiant.

You can always take Animal Pak you animals!

I am taking the Adam formula from Now Foods: 1fast400.com

works for me.. so does 9 meals a day!

I think that out of so many different opinions, i will keep using Natural store vitamins or maybe some Pharmaton pharmacy brand. Even knowing that most of % is pissed away. Whenever i need high vitamins intake i will use the injectables as b12 .

Gnc's multi-vits are always reliable and time released. I take one in the morning and one at night just ta make sure.
