Most Effective Way to Handle Body Hair

Rest of body gets the Oneblade.
picked up a One Blade earlier this week. can you really hit all the areas without risk of, ehhh, trauma? i’ve got pretty daring with the smallest guard, but based on some previous incidents with clippers and the short hairs…i’m not trying to find out the hard way sans guard.

I recently got a freebird flex, it does decent on my head but the thing sucks on the body. My body hair it pretty thin and it just rolls over it.

I guess you need to use the clipper attachment first. I've just been using a razor again for quads and chest. Looking for something easier. But nothing gets it close enough so far besides a real razor.

If I use the guard it just doesn't get close enough. That being said, I tend to stay away from pubic region (including my culo), and use a regular Gillette Sensor 3 for those. I honestly hate doing all of it, but I hate body hair even more. Waxing is too expensive for me and causes itching (and quite a few ingrown hairs because I am not consistent enough with exfoliation).

Been using a Oneblade for a while. It will do everything very well but the twig and berries LOL. I don't care what advertising says or what people claim, there is no electric razor or device on the planet that can do the balls and dick without nicking you regularly!

Laser treatment starts to look real attractive after a while.

I've come to this realization myself and just sticking with my trusty dollar shave club down there.

noted. thank you. i’d rather learn from someone else’s mistakes in this instance.

I have a Peanut corded hair trimmer taped to a back scratcher that actually works pretty well. There are also the "backblade" products if you want to practice self-flagellation. Here's my wonky solution. Rest of body gets the Oneblade.

lmao I was actually thinking of doing something like this, but I didn't know what to use as the extension-handle
I've tried one of those amazon backblade things, but even at my best I always have a few back pimples here and there, and it was a fucking slaughter at the end.

Yep I've spilled some blood here and there with my trimmer. I was thinking of doing depilatory cream but I'm not sure about aplying chemical stuff in my balls.

Razor is best honestly, a clipper on the scrotum is just a no-go. (If that’s what you are inferring)

that is what i was referring to. One Blade sells an “intimate” shaver, which looks like a marketing ploy. it’s just a OB, waterproof with a guard. it led me to question is folks really use the OB for the whole package sans guard.

but ya, i’ve got my answer. it’s decent elsewhere, but i’ll save myself the trauma with the advice.

Im a shaving enthusiast, I use straight razors, I don't bother with my body. But if I were too, id definitely get a foil razor like the babyblyss pro. My friend is a barber and he took off my sideburns, on purpose of course. He was using one of those foil heads after. It was baby smooth, like shockingly smooth for a shave. Ive heard a lot of guys say their barber will use one of those on the final stage if they get a straight razor shave, as to do a complete straight razor shave to baby smooth, your looking at 30 minutes minimum, and nobody has time for that every day. I can do it in about 5 tops but I use a cartridge razor for against the grain as its tedious work with a straight razor. Im tempted to get a babyblyss though, it was baby smooth. Never had that from an electric razor before

Im tempted to get a babyblyss though,
Babyliss makes a great foil. I have a Wahl 5 Star Vanish that i’ve been happy with. but it really shines post blade or clipper shave. it doesn’t do much to clean up if you haven’t shaved in a while. but days or week after, it’s cleans up baby soft quickly.

StyleCraft is making great high end products too. my barber uses the Instinct and it’s better than any blade shave i’ve had.

Yes that's pretty standard, you aren't going to get something that's going to shave you baby smooth if you aren't down to stubble first. Im kind of scared to get one because alot of straight razor guys just retire after getting one. But to be honest its kind of appealing at the same time to have a good shave every morning. Wet shave though I always do before bed, never in the morning. I find my skin is very sensitive and overnight it'll be nice on the morning, but after ill have alot of red marks etc. It's one of those what am I doing moments sometimes. I do have a 4 year old though and im 48, its pretty demanding. Maybe ill get one and get the blades out again when hes older. But between razors, stones, strops etc, don't ever get into straight razors thinking you'll save money

when you said “enthusiast” you weren’t joking. i’ve collect pocket knives, so i’m familiar with the stones, strops, compounds, guided sharpening systems, etc etc etc, to keep them sharp. it never dawned on me that you’d find the same obsession in the razor world. but ya, it can get crazy expensive the further you want to take it. shoot, some of those stones will keep you broke alone.

i can’t vouch for foils vs that level of shaving, but i pretty much gave up disposable razors after i bought a decent foil. i’ll keep some Gillettes around for cleanup & stubborn areas, but then foil does about 95% of my face and neck.
