Mass Gainers Thickness To Calories Ratio...

So I just finished a tub of iForce's Mass Gainz and it was incredibly thick. I added 16 ounces of water to half a serving which is two scoops. A serving is 500 cals but I used two servings. Now I just bought ONs Serious Mass and its wayyyy less thick, almost watery with 16 ounces of water, yet claims even more calories at 1270 vs the 1000 from IFN. Im trying to wrap my head around how that is possible. Any ideas?

2 scoops of serious mass in 16 oz of water is super thick IMO.

In this day and age I don't understand why anyone would use a commercial mass gainer versus making one yourself?!???!

Because the supplement buisness is an empire dominating the fitness industry, and alot of guys have no idea what theyre doing anyway nutritionally.

Hence, they buy mass gainers...

No I use allstarhealth where pricing isnt bad at all.

Also i use 16 ounces for one scoop in the morning and 16 ounces for one at night.

Yeah this makes sense. What do they use for fillers?

It's not the price. It's the quality. You are spending money to feed your body lower quality borderline garbage food mimetic.

Chalk dust for flavoring! Not sure probably flour or gluten itself for more powder. I tried mass gainer once which was "serious mass" loved the flavoured but felt like I defentifly don't need help devouring carbs.

Some of those mass gainers made me feel slow and bloated most likely from the fillers like starch.
Yea I would agree. I actually feel the difference from eating a hefty amount of sweet potatoes(which I roast with garlic) and I feel amazing throughout the day! If I take in powdered carbs I feel instantly bloated

I didn't know that. I guess i should rethink my diet here then? My appetite has always sucked. 4k calories is hard on me but i make it happen. Shakes are easier on me and thats why i use them.

I hear u on the shakes. Make your own in a blender:

Oat meal
2-3 scoops protein powder
Yogurt
Almond milk/fairlife milk etc
Any nut nutter
Banana and other fruits
Honey

The possibilities are endless, the cost is much cheaper, the nutritional value is substantially higher. Any combo of the above to mix things up and keep the flavor pallet excited.

That was exactly what I had for my last meal! Tossed acai berries in it and it tasted fantastic
