Lifting during a 24 hour fast

Hey guys I’m currently focused on losing some body fat and will incorporate 24 hour fasts once a week to sort of speed things up. Today is my fasting period and I also happen to train lower body primarily squats.

Should I decrease the volume or just train as hard as possible to my usual intensity? I’m running 350mgs of just test so idk of muscle loss should be a concern.

I also plan to refeed with a lot of carbs tomorrow night, so this fast should also help with insulin sensitivity for that carb up.

So is it a wise idea to train today considering I’m cutting 800 calories a day so far? I just don’t want to risk muscle loss by going half assed with my training.

How come?
Im not a fan of fasting the same benefits are shown to happen with a caloric deficit.
if maintaining muscle mass is the goal then fasting will be counterproductive. You need to be able to train hard in the gym in order to keep what you’ve gained and possibly even accrue some new tissue.
if you’re really intent on any type of extreme dietary measure then i wouldn’t train the day before, the day of or the day after. I also would implement a psmf instead of a fast as studies have shown it is impossible for the body to store protein as fat.
so maybe once a week do a day of only 800-1000 calories of lean protein. Liquid egg whites, boiled or steamed white fish, protein isolate, or chicken breast.
as far as insulin sensitivity all that’s needed is a deficit.

I appreciate it, I want to stay somewhat dry for this cut so I can see progress without mindfucks. I’m running just 400 test planning on going to 600 once I am satisfied with my fat loss.

Should I keep my test dose up this high or would it just be counter productive with what I want? Maybe just an ai on hand in case

Any tips regarding macros, is keto or low carb better for me to keep subq water storage low?

I fasted my way into being skinny and it consumed a lot of lean mass. I ended up real 'skinny fat'

Even did a 5 day water fast(with potassium, salt and magnesium). Still worked out everyday.

I wouldn't recommend it unless you're fat af or gonna build it back on gear. I built it back + more. However I personally have not fasted over 24 hours since. Too risky.
