the nutrition store i go to has 2 different brands of yohimbe, one is dosed at 800mg, and the other is dosed at 2000mg, yet both say not to exceed 1 dose per day, what is a typical dose? these figures are nowhere near each other I don't know which one to go by, thanks.

They likely have very different levels of purity. The maximum non-prescription dose of yohimbe is 5.4mg. Look at the labels and see what it says for concentration. Bsed on 800 and 2000mgs, the actual concentration is incredibly low. 5.4/2000 = .27% (one-quarter of 1%).
