I'm a no pro at this; however, it is my understanding from both a reputable doc (who actually uses gear) and someone who has had a kidney transplant do to gear and amount of protein intake that large amount of it, can actually stress the kidneys more than gear can. I was told that if you're doing 2 or more grams per body weight then to take certain ancillaries to prevent future, not immediate, damage. The person who had a kidney failure did not see it until about 12-15 after he started doing gear - of course, he does not do the amounts I or most do...to give you an idea, he was upwards of 1-1.5gm per day of gear, sometimes 2g per day. So to answer your question, not sure how much of a role protein plays in kidney stress, but from what he said and his doc, a rather large amount.
he was doing 2grams of gear a DAY? or WEEK? huge difference. I am not doubting you bro, just wondering if you mixed the 2 up, as 2gram of gear a day is as much as Coleman would use TOPS.
