I hate to be the correct one here, since the topic can be a emotional one for the military folk...
The constitution, the flag, and the national anthem are all symbolic of the fact that we live in a country where he has the right to do that. To hold any of those symbols as being more sacred than the concept of freedom they represent... well, that is stupidity.
Not supporting the first amendment right is unpatriotic in itself. I'm actually quite agitated at the military men and women who I've witnessed blow up over this on social media, those who have spent X amount of years in military service, who still don't have a clue what the constitution means. It more or less pisses me off how many people just don't get it. Yes, it's socially unacceptable in the situation, he could've picked a better platform to do this on... or was this the best time to do it?
Then again, I'd like to point out that his intention is entirely different, involving the police state and the already debunked "police are killing black people more than any other race" situation. They kill more white people, actually. Harvard did a study. A black guy at Harvard, to be specific, who was actually on the side believing the media sensationalism, initially. It was all proven wrong, but you don't see the media admitting to that now do you?
I'd like to conclude that this was the final straw for me. It is now clear to me that the US is going straight to shit. I didn't want to believe it before, but I do now. Too many people are beyond ignorant to what this country is meant to be in this day and age, in this world full of tyranny and oppression. We are crumbling...
I just felt the need to rant here. Facebook is full of mindless idiots.
