Issues with specific raws

Does anyone have any insight into why certain specific raws are almost impossible to find while others are still available and apparently still being restocked by some suppliers. For instance, Test C and Test E are getting harder to find and running out, but TPP and Prop are not. Mast E has all but dried up, but Mast P can still be found. It almost seems like the ester matters in this regard. I’m new to brewing so maybe I’m just missing something. Thought’s?

Scientific Papers on the synthesis of almost all compounds are out there, there are even some tutorials on youtube, including esterification. You just need a rather expensive (clean, temp stable, consistent) setup if you want a good yield.

Because there are stockpiles left of certain raws laying around. No convincing evidence of new production for the last 10 months.

Even Test-C is getting scarce, which is surprising considering it's being produced legally for pharma. You'd think some would've "leaked out" to the underground market.

Drugs tend to be made in batches and may not be made on a continuous cycle. Supply and demand. Seems the US government has pressured China some to help with the opioid crisis. and other drugs will likely get fall out from that. Plus the import of things has also tightened up some.

I know that China has been going through a crackdown for a while, I guess my question was more about why certain raws aren’t being affected as much as others. For instance, I’ve seen suppliers that can no longer get Mast E, but are still actively restocking Mast P. That’s why I posed the question about the esters and whether or not that could have something to do with it. You see the same thing with Test, Cyp is increasingly harder to source, however Prop raws are still being restocked. Maybe @Ghoul is correct, and there is just still stockpiles of those raws.

Could be that some raws, as some of our members have pointed out, are made with the same precursers as Fentanyl. Since the US and other countries too I'd imagine, are experiencing a lot of deaths from Fentanyl hitting the streets, there's a lot of outrage by it. As a result, China has cracked down on release or manufacturing of these precursers. I think a variety of the 19nors, Primo, and Mast are made with these precursers, so--no more supply for awhile . Just connecting the dots, you can imagine, everyone is turning to other compounds, which is thinning out that supply. e.g. As Tren E runs short, some folks will turn to Tren H, as Deca runs short--some will turn to Dbol, etc. etc.

My guess is they'll be smuggled in bulk into countries and sold domestically, so we'll never really know who the manufacturer is. It could still be China, or India, Mexico or even Eastern Europe as they all have AAS factories. If they're smart, the source will mislead about the real origin. "It's all coming from Turkey" or some other bullshit will be the rumor.

They are not something some home chemist can produce in any economical way. You need a small chemical factory at the least.

It's certain prices will be higher than they were at the peak of the "Golden Age" of AAS last year.

I don't think this will kick in until we're on the final fumes of all the leftover, forgotten in factory basements, under the bed stash supplies, and we really finally start to run out. We'll be able to tell it's getting close when prices go truly nuts.

Things haven't gotten bad enough, and prices aren't high enough yet to attract the interest of the kinds of criminals that can pull off serious smuggling.
