But damn the amount of dudes comin out lately saying they got infections or something going on is wild.

Easiest protocol ever.
Pull out vial, swab it & your injection spot.
Prep injection. Take injection. Swab it again. And you’re good.
Depending how much or where you’re taking it. Might need to do Z track or bandaid it from leaking.

2 years ago i had 5 back surgerys done in span of 4 weeks due to infection which happened when my doctor injected injection in my back to help with sciatic nerve.He made a mistake and went too deep,which resulted in liquid staying and hardening in my spinal canal.
I would have 1 surgery that would solve that problem,but other 4 were due to infection that had bacteria on my skin and him not sterilizing before penetrating my skin which pushed bacteria into my spin and didn't let my wound recover.

100 alcohol wipse cost 2.50euros,just use couple od them each shot,wipe the vial,wipe the injection site,hell i spray injection site with spray option first and after letting it dry i will still wipe just in case.
Infections are no jokes and compared to injection pain i think that 30 sec of sterilizing everything should be a no problem.
Not doing this you spented more time now in hospital then you would do in 100 years of constant pining and sterilizing before hand.

Vial wiped every time, no matter how quick after being drawn from
The injection site minimum 2 wipes, if it’s already basic clean location to start

Always sanitize with an alcohol wipe without exception. Im sure you've learned your lesson now.

Create a aseptic practice for yourself and follow it

I have a little alcohol pump dispenser and a plastic holder full of cotton rounds on my counter. It takes 5 seconds to grab a cotton round, pump it on the dispenser, and wipe the vial and my skin

Use 70% isopropyl alcohol. The higher concentrations aren't good for sterilization. They don't "wet" the surface and evaporate to fast.

I can’t stress enough how important the point you made is.

Wet the skin

You literally need to soak the epidermis in alcohol. I know all you greezy gearheads don’t exfoliate. Bacteria can not only hide under dry skin but it also hides deep in the pores and hair follicles of the dermis. A simple wipe does not always suffice. A needle can push that shit down into the muscle.

Clean your greezy asses and exfoliate
Soak that epidermis in 70% iso
Avoid follicles and nasty ass blackheads on your ass cheeks. Seriously y’all nasty sometimes.

Clean vial top and the inject spot also. Take a new fresh pad for that. Wait about 20 secs, to the alcohol is vaporized from your skin.

Basic rules when injecting:
Wipe injection site with alcohol
Wipe top of vial with alcohol
New needles every time

Literally have injected myself 1000's of times following these simple rules and never had a problem once (knock on wood)
