IIFYM... validity?

I'll say this. I was obsessive about my diet for years. I ate clean as hell to hit my macros and I was miserable. Choking down meals with water everyday.
All that time I thought IIFYM was bullshit. Mostly because when it was described it was always JUST about junk food and poptarts.
But I finally tried it and it works. Im in better shape and I enjoy food. And im not goint crazy on 10k cal cheat days anymore. :oops:
And as said, it is actually harder to track. Because even with the "bad foods" you have to be precise on your intake, macros, and micros.
But you have to know yourself. Because if you know you have a weakness for certain foods and youll over induldge its a good idea to stay away. And like many of you, I can eat oreos like potato chips.
 
I use it bulking and cutting. So does my coach who is pro physique. Like yesterday I had
Breakfast:2greek yogurts
chocolate chip muffin
Post workout:whey shake cinnamon raisin bagel
Lunch:chicken with peas
Afternoon snack:carrots and a Greek
Dinner chicken and broccoli

Im 5weeks out
IT just lets you allow for some "dirty" foods but then you use up a lot of your macros so you have to eat "clean meals" it's all a a balance. Bulking I ate poptarts like it was my job
