As it says.
44yrs old.
190lbs - 5'11 - 15%
Consuming 4000 a day and not gaining.
Going up 500 but curious what you all need to bulk vs weight...

Hard to believe... are you dudes running marathons and have a construction jobs on top?

My maintenance is 3500cals for ~230lbs (105kg) like in avi. ~3200-3300cals for ~220lbs (100kg). When I was 250lbs I ate 4000+ but I was 18-20% body fat too.

I walk quite a bit and I like swimming, so i'm kinda active, not crazy like I used to though.

What height are you buddy? Wish I could get to just 215lb's Lol I think I need to start tracking calories and carbs that I consume as I'm sure it will be too low. Do you actually have to put effort into making sure you hit these calorie requirements when aiming for them?

I guess I'm almost 6'2 in american imperial units (187.5cm). So I round it up a bit. By bodybuilding standards I'm quite tall and it's harder for me to fill that frame.

Yeah, I do put effort in tracking and being as precise as I can with diet. Sometimes I slip up and there are few weeks to a month in a year where I say fuck it and don't couny anything. But usually I try to do my best when it comes to diet. It's easy for me to follow, I enjoy it.

I have friend who's 5'7 I think and he's 90kg looks bigger than me so yeah I hear in BB every centimeter or half an inch makes it so much harder when you are above 6 ft or 180cm.

Which would you say are more important to hit - Calories or Carbs requirements and why?

This is interesting.
I went from 165 to 190 in 2 yrs.
Suddenly couldn't bulk.
But I hadn't updated maint number.

Turns out I need 3000 just to maintain.
So next bulk will be 3700-4000.

Not sure I can eat that much...

That reset on maintenance is crazy. My maintenance is higher as well, I just know that I don't have wild weight fluctuations if I eat 3800 calories daily.

The easiest way to bulk is track everything, eat pretty much the same foods and spread out mealtimes so you don't pack your self and can't eat later. I bulked just eating most my meals form Trader Joe's groceries.

Wow.

I simply just can't eat like that
4000 is literally killing me.
Might need something that increases appetite for my last bulk.

Getting old.
Trust me it's not because I'm hungry. Every meal after the first one is a struggle. But I'm also taking this to a level most don't want or need to.

At my peak weighing 210-220 my maintenance was 4000-4500. Now that i am an old man with liess muscle and less active i only eat about 2800 a day.

Find what food you digest well, remove all the food that makes you bloated.
I digest carbs a lot better than fats. On 4900 calories i feel hungry most of the day since i eat only good and easy to digest foods.

I am uppeing my cals from 3500 to 4000, would i benefit more to just going straight to 4300/4500?

Seems i am not making the most of my goals and short changing myself… after seeing what you guys are dam…

On a cut, don't know my bf but its too high.2159 No I don't usually hit that exact number just try to get close..I'll probably up it to 3500 bulk time.
