Hey squad

I wanted to see how you guys calculate your macros do you base it off your fat free body weight or based off your total body weight?

I've seen preach one or the other wanted to see what you guys do

I base it off my total body weight when I'm happy with where I'm at body composition wise

Too much bodyfat? I change my macros and diet around until I'm content with how my body adjusts then go from there

Hope this helps

I don't, I put caloric intake first. I know that some of the staple diet foods I eat give me enough daily protein to respond, but I don't overwhelm myself with exactly how many grams from protein, how many grams from carbs, or how many grams from fats.

I simply memorize what roundabout calorie counts are in what I'm eating each meal, aside from a cheat meal where all bets are off and I don't give a fuck. So learn to know stuff like 2 tablespoons of natural peanut butter is around 180 cals and 14 grams fat, an egg is about 60 cals and 6 grams of protein, 1 cup of oats is about 300 cals and 60 grams of carbs.

Once you know whether you are eating enough to gain or eating too much to shed any fat, the rest naturally comes. My way of learning it anyways
