Highest dose of Reta

What’s the highest dose of Reta that everyone has worked up to? I’ve went as high as 15mgs every 6 days and only bad side I had was the skin irritation. It’s bearable but annoying.

Anyone get up to 20mgs ????

Got up to 20 once by accident, I feel like I was more fatigued that week and weaker. 15mg is common.
No need to do more than 10mg just add Tirzepatide or Cagrilintide for a further appetite suppression, or even tesofensine.

I've been on 10 mg for the past week and a half, and I'm thinking of increasing to either 12.5mg or 15mg in the next week or so. Jumping straight to 15 mg would be simpler, especially since I have 30 mg vials on the way.

I would caution you on jumping from 10 straight to 15. I had been on 8mg for several months with no issues. I received a Reta 50 kit and thought now’s a good time to increase to 10 to simplify dosing. What I didn’t know was those 50’s were overdosed and the three we sent for testing came back at 58. So I actually jumped from 8 to almost 12. That’s when my 22 days of hiccups began. It’s a rare reaction of course, but something to be aware of. 12mg is the highest Eli Lilly went during the Reta trials so not much data is available going beyond 12 except anecdotal reports.,

Honestly, I’m not even sure why I'm increasing (I love experimenting). I'm not getting any hunger suppression from Reta whatsoever, so the only reason would be to boost glucagon and fat burning, but I’m not convinced it's worth going over 10mg.

I just got my CGM, so if my blood glucose trends poorly, I might bump the dose. Otherwise, I'll stick with 10mg.

Appreciate the heads-up I hadn’t considered the kits might be slightly overdosed.

I'm sure it's different for everybody, but for me Reta did everything good it was going to do -- and it did a lot -- well before 10mg/week. Trying to get significant appetite suppression from it will probably lead one to increase the dosage into excessive side effects. Better off with tirz or stacking with cagri if that's needed. I increased from 10mg/week to 10mg/E5D just to "smooth out" the effects but I should have really reduced the dosage when I increased the frequency, and just been more patient generally.

Once you have your CGM you should post your updates, i am curious to see the levels of glucose around 8-10-12mg/week

Wow, I had a similar hiccup streak when I was a few months into tirz, but never since and I switched to Reta now. Did anything specific help you get rid of the damn things?

Only time. They gave me three medication changes, CT scans and Ultrasounds from my head to my ass. ER trips. EKG. Two rounds of bloodwork. And an endoscopy. I would sometimes wake up with hiccups after taking gabapentin and baclofen to fall asleep.

It takes about 21 days for it to mostly clear your system completely. The hiccups stopped on day 23.

which monitor did you opt for?
I have both the Aidex 2 and the Libre 2 Plus. I plan to start using the Aidex 2 when I have about 3 days remaining on my Libre 2 so I can compare their results side by side, especially since the Aidex costs less than half of what the Libre 2 Plus does.

For me in Europe
Aidex 2 is 60$ / month
Libre 2 plus 150$ / month
