what up meso, ,i finally picked up a used home gym set but need to add some more pieces. looking for a curling bar and some plates ,45s w some holes for various exercises. i realize there's not much out there ,but it one extreme to another. cheap chinese shit or super expensive stuff. found a ez bar at rogue fitness for 195 . looks decent like it will last . anyone know of companies that make decent shit. by the way ive got a nice set of dumbbells and barbell custom made from brake rotors and 1" galvanized pipe ! lol

Might check out play it again sports I'm your area as well. The one here you can pay over the phone and they'll deliver for a small fee. That and Facebook marketplace and Craigslist, but prices have been crazy on there. If your on Facebook make a post asking your friends if anyone has any weights lying around they aren't using. I scored a bench and 210 pounds of weights from a friend for 100 bucks that way. Good luck, I have a feeling this nonsense is going to continue for awhile

I ordered new stuff from the store. Cage, bench, bars, plates, collars. Wasnt cheap but not crazy like you're seeing on FB, Craigslist, and the like. However the wait time is crazy. I was told 4-6 weeks but I am willing to bet more like 6-10 weeks.

everywhere is sold out .people want 5 dollars a pound for used shit, fuckers. eventually there's gonna b a ton of quality used stuff on the market ,for now the golds 2000 rack and bench are gonna have to do !ill weld my own power rack . these companies are nuts for wanting thousands .just gotta steal the dimensions from another rack

I feel your pain, man. I searched everywhere for barbells and plates about 6 to 8 weeks ago. I found NONE.

I went as far as going a state over to meet a guy with a truckload of gym equipment but there was a huge turnout and not enough to go around.

It is a pure bitch right now trying to find this stuff. So, I made do and got creative with the few dumbbells I had.

Here's the hit though. Wait a couple months and I got a feeling theres gonna be a lot of gym equip people are going to sell off. FB marketplace amd avenues like that. I'm waiting for it and hoping to pick a bunch up on the cheap in the future.

Good luck bub.

EliteFTS has a bunch of stuff back in stock. There bars are USA made and quality stuff. You’re going to pay a bit more though. Just scooped up there new heavy duty curl bar. You can try Titan Fitness for cheaper stuff that will get the job done. I feel like rogue isn’t producing as much/restocking due to them being busy creating mask shields for healthcare workers and limited staff. I’d keep browsing FB market place/craigslist too every so often you’ll find someone not trying to profit off this demand.

I think that these manufacturers should be ashamed of their incompetence/ inability to respond to the demand 4 months after this shit started.

I get it that They were hit by surprise by this increase in demand, and it would be alright to be out of stock for one or two months due to them not having enough stock, but they had plenty of fucking time to step their game up by now, it’s almost like they don’t want to make fucking money.

Rogue is basically a fucking mask manufacturer now, and while that explains the lack of stock in American made items in their inventory, the fucking plates are made in China, and I find it hard to believe that they have production problems in China due to lack of manpower.

Ironmaster had a restock last week and they tried to “make it fair” by implementing a fucking queue that resulted in the most pathetic failure that I ever witnessed in my life.

Some people managed to get around the queue using some underhanded bullshit tactics, and what would be a waiting time for me of 1 hour turned into 9 hours wait.

Not that I cared since they only restocked half the shit that I wanted to buy and i don’t want to pay for shipping 2 or 3 times since I live in Canada.

I think this whole deal with gym equipment Manufacturing companies is just a pathetic shit show of incompetence, and it flabbergasts me how these people even manage to run a business, as they fail to adapt to a new situation after almost 5 months.

I swear to god if I had money to invest I would start a fucking home gym equipment company and would go to the greatest lengths to smoke all of these lazy ass “businessmen” who just sleep on their laurels.

A few places that are affordable and decent quality:

Titan Fitness
Valor Fitness
Fray Fitness - I ordered a smith machine back in mid April and it's FINALLY going to be shipped though haha.

Agree 100%, I eas getting quotes of 12 to 15 weeks when it started. I was able to secure most in 8. I am waiting on 45s still, but thats because they sent me bumpers which are huge and I swapped them for regular rubber coated. At least they let me use them for about 5 weeks so be about 3 before I get the new 45s next week
